That was the first time a payment had been made and it didn’t specify who it went to or what is was for.. Parish said he doesn’t get paid for the work he does at the club?

Overall Parish is a great chairman but there are problems with our recruitment, especially in vulnerable, priority areas. Don't turn up on Saturday or you'll be traveling twice. I did this once when Everton played in the Europa on Sunday and I turned up near Selhurst on Tuesday when the match was on Wednesday. Well spotted Rudi.

That'll be hard. Would you rather be Cardiff? Put that in perspective for a chairman! Cheers Stuk.

What he said was more along the lines of taking substantial sums of capital out of the club, or symphoning as it's called by football fans. That's what he meant to say. He hasn't done any of that but he is being paid a wage that would be paid to someone else if not him, and therefore criticism of things like transfers and keepers is fair enough.

Cheers Stuk. Both became chairman in 2010. He changed the crest despite protests from the fans, then he did it again to make the Welsh dragon an Oriental one, SP changed the crest with help from the fans - keeping all the key features but modernising it. He changed the kit from blue to red against the fan's wishes, SP has given us some of our best kits in recent times. They got promoted after 3 seasons, finished bottom and went back down. We got promoted the same year and are still there. We've had the last two England managers, they have a manager we have sacked.

What's wrong with Parish getting paid for doing the job he does? Who goes to work for nothing...? Even business owners pay themselves.... Kinda silly for anyone to say how dare he. Normally the owners are the best paid members of staff right? Is Parish the most highly paid person at Palace? No. And yet haters will hate. Can't imagine a single one of us would run a business and it be our main job and not take a pay cheque. But bless all those that do right. Edited by Goldfiinger (02 Feb 2018 5.59pm)

One would imagine an orchestra would need a substantial sum.

Rather than having a go at people for things that haven't been said why not actually read what has been said and perhaps respond appropriately. You may say "Kinda silly for anyone to say how dare he." but in truth it's kinda silly to make respnses like that when no-one has actually said that he shouldn't be paid
