Yeah, i can remember double headers on clapham common on sunday mornings. Two games straight off and then a quick gallon in the windmill.

Easy peasy

That's definitely it, these pansy professionals just don't drink enough booze after a match these days.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

So what is the excuse for all the other games we have messed up against these lower teams then?

this is why you have 25 man squad yes the time of games is poor but come on these are suppose to be pro players can't use tired as excuse they have had Sunday afternoon until Tuesday evening so first half of this game they should be alright

first 3 days are key to recovery, after that there's little difference between 4 or 5 days.

How is your degree in Sports Science going?

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Definitely use Bakary Sako. He'll be fresh as daisies and with a full tank.

Players look shattered, pitch is s*** so bad for Wilf on the ground, windy as f*** so difficult to get accurate crosses in...still, we are only 1 down.

Anyone who's played football knows that the second day after a game is when the aches, pains and knocks are at their worse. The extra day Soton have had is massive.

That can be the case but these players should be in top condition and if it was such a big deal then why is it all the lower leagues can play more games and not have such issues.

the problem with these players now is they are soft plus they train to just play the match time.

other sports you train far harder without these breaks which is why they are in much better shape

I still don't know if the wind is a factor. Soton are pressing us because it looks like we can't clear the ball very far. So the game has been mostly pressed into our half because we have to play it out on this s***ty pitch.

In the 2nd half, It will be a different story.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Sorry to say Benteke hasn't turned up tonight.

Wonder if their groundsman has f***ed up this pitch on purpose. It sounds appalling.

Hennessey very close to being embarrassed. Only their poor execution saved him (and us).
