I'm no Bentekes biggest fan - but to sell him in January is a ludicrous idea. we have no strikers. CB is the one person we have - who Is anything resembling a PL Proven Striker, to sell him and get in 2+ foreigners who may or may not get on in the PL is a Crazy Idea,.
We need to keep CB and Get 1-2 more Strikers in Jan, not sell him and replace.

I have to say, in some way I think Benteke hinders our attacking option. When we had Townsend and Zaha up front we had to think about things more and it made the play more exciting and now it's just hoofball to benteke again. We do play some pretty good stuff on the ground when we choose to

I agree with this 100% from the WBA matchday thread

He need's replacing or demoted to bench if we are to get our attacking mojo back.

Personally feel he needs to play but we need to utilise the wingers more than we do. He then needs to be getting into the box quickly for the crosses. If he doesn't show this then demote him. The players don't need to hoof the ball unless that is what is expected from them.

Having two speedy wingers and a slow lump in the middle up front. Spot the odd one out. Ideally, we'd have a 26 year old Andy Johnson in there as that trio would fit like a glove. We need to get a new quick striker.

I was thinking this just now. we've got pace and trickery on the wings, we need someone who can cause problems with pace and their play through the centre. Other than in the air, I don't think Benteke offers enough

I just think he needs better service & more game time after his injury. He had a good couple of chances today.

I also agree that "Hoofball" up to Benteke doesn't work. He wins the header but nobody is there to recieve it.

Don’t disagree with that - the service to him is poor. Zaha’s final ball was awful again today, especially in the first half. The second half he didn’t see it much to mess up the final pass. With that said, I expect much more from Townsend who is far worse than Zaha at everything he does. If anyone needs replacing, it’s him. Perhaps I’m wrong and he will start performing soon. But we shouldn’t be blaming Benteke when he is receiving such bad service. Plus Evans is a quality defender and he was also one of the reasons we only got the point today?

Look, you make a fair point however decent forwards are not cheap and I don't think we will have the money to buy two forwards unless we sell him. Cenk Tosun would appear to be the perfect sort of player for Palace as from what I have seen, his game compliments that of Wilf and Andros. We could then spend the rest of the money on a bigger centre forward who fits the Benteke mould so that we have a plan B.

I appreciate that Benteke is a good player but its all about goals and he just isn't scoring any. He had a great chance with his head today and put it straight at the keeper and also created a fantastic chance for himself which was well saved by the keeper.

I would be happy to keep Benteke if we could afford Tosun without selling him but I'm not sure that sort of money is available when you consider we need to buy a keeper as well.

Sell sell sell. 28 million and 100k a week. Waste of money. Lazy and does not love the shirt.

Give the kids a chance. They would give 100% and be worth the wages

I would put a bid in for Defoe. Not regular at Bournemouth and could be a great short term option

Not a bad shout that, although not sure they would release to a direct competitor in the race for survival.
