The WBA people I chatted to recently thought Pards had done quite well.

My impression was that their team had shown much more resolve under him, but as we know the PL is unrelenting if you get trapped at the bottom.

He may have left under his own steam the decision is mutual.

He can't save WBA now so best to move on.

I wonder what and who he'll blame for his 5% win ratio this time.

5%. 1 win in 20 or 2 a season.

If Pulis cant keep you up, you are toast. If Pardew cant get success early on, you are toast. If between those 2 you can only get 3 wins, nothing was going to keep you up.

Pardew sent an already doomed team down is the point im making. That and I am possibly hungry...

So going on this 2016 article, he had 4 wins in 17 games with us and now 1 in 18 with WBA. Shame he couldn't have made it to 38 games with the two sides.

Still not as bad as Derby were though.

I'd assume he's rendered unemployable now, and it was a baffling appointment in the first place. I cannot recall a starker 'dead man walking' scenario, where a man kept his job purely because no one else was available .

Not sure where Gary Megson is. Every club has its ray lewington.

Looks like WBA's board/ owner has given up all hope of achieving a turnaround so may as well throw in a wild card. It's possible even Pulis would have overseen their demise if he had stayed? I just hope we have a positive outcome to our own situation by the time we play them. Otherwise, it could be the wooden spoon final.

Interesting stuff coming out about the state of West Brom’s finances due to transfers and wages - the reason Pulis was eased out at Stoke and Pardew’s treatment of some of the younger players.

Pardew had worked with West Brom’s DOF Nicky Hammond at Reading.

I believe Pardew only signed 2 players, both on 'Loan', defender Ali Gabr and Daniel Sturridge so it is possible that financially they couldn't back him in the market to any significant degree.

Torrid time for Pardew at WBA, following on from his sacking at our club, and perhaps he will decide that he has had enough of football management.

In any event, perhaps no Chairman would be interested in his services - his teams have only won 16 of the last 73 games he has been in charge.

They can't be serious he has won only 1 game in the league since he took the job back in November

AP has done just like I said gone before they are classed as relegated when he is the one that has taken them down they was not even in relegation zone when he took over.

I hope AP never gets another job again he is awful almost taking Palace down now he has relegated WB

Indeed. And only 8 pts from 18 PL games.
But as I mentioned he only brought in 2 Loan players so it appears that he didn't have much of a player budget !

The whole thing is just crazy. Sacking Pulis, a survival specialist, for Pardew. Crazy. Serves them right. Horrible club with thuggish players and an ugly strip. Good riddance.

Back to punditing on sky . Telling better managers than himself where they are getting it wrong.

It's more comfy at the tv studio.
