These for me are worse than men who abuse their power to sleep with women, they hold no traits that the majority of women would be attracted to. So they have to befriend women, pretend to accept and agree with everything they do and say, just to get in their knickers. Such a sneaky tactic but I suppose a guys got to do what a guys got to do. I still detest them.

Yep, the sneaky mating strategy. 'right on, down with the patriarchy...aren't men awful'...two weeks later...'please drop your panties'.

Some men are pathetic.

Very interesting thread with many good comments. May I receive advice. my seat at Selhurst Park is at the end of a row. What do I do if an only known by sight lady sits on the step beside me and takes my mind completely away from events on the pitch? Would any of you dare to sit beside an end of row known by sight lady?

I'd say it's pretty subjective to whether the woman finds the guy attractive or not. Let's take catcalling for example and do a quick social experiment. First let's send an unattractive guy around in an old 106, pulling over to random women and shouting random compliments at them, then we will send an attractive guy around in a brand new Ferrari 360 and have him do the same. Both the same crime and both harrasment in the eyes of UK law.

Are you honestly telling me that both guys will get the same response from women ?

This is very true.
You will hear women in a bar saying "Some dirty old man keeps leering at me."
Followed by "That fit bloke is giving you the eye... lower your top a bit."

Sadly I was the first bloke they were talking about.

You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name.

I once had 2 twenty-something girls ask me to compare their breasts. by feeling.
I was weak and succumbed to their invitations. They did not remove their tops or bra, but I got a soft-on.

Me thinks, If I had got my tackle out, asking them to juggle my chestnuts, I would have been locked-up.

More true than you know.

How many women have their cleavage out at work or wear short skirts and then expect men not to look and be taken seriously?

Imagine if men went to work in tight little shorts or bare chested? On second thoughts, this is beginning to sound like a homo erotic fantasy.

No one deserves to be groped or assaulted but when it comes to being seen as out of bounds, you can't have your cake and eat it.

First part I agree with, I'm going to look, but I don't see why I wouldn't take them seriously. I definitely take boobs seriously.

I had eczema as a kid to the extent I was bandaged up with a cream applied underneath. The nurse applied additional cream 'downstairs' after the bandages were on. Unlikely there was any unpleasant intent there 20 odd years ago, extremely likely it would lead disciplinary or criminal action were it to happen in 2017.

The real issue this raises is that blokes don't actually care, for reasons of societal influence or whatever, but obviously the only way to even things up is for us to make a fuss or for women to accept minor incidents for what they are. I'm not saying anyone should tolerate it, but when you've entered in to an unspoken contract a la Weinstein then maybe you should swallow it.

It's funny, loads of male mates have come out with stories since #metoo.

Sadly what's going to happen here is that feminists will suggest we're undermining abuse by sharing our stories. Which then indicates there is a difference between the sexes. Paradox much?

I can't be the only one who has seen this?

I'm highlighting it to try and guide this thread back onto the moderately amusing side . . .

They're trying to trivialize it all.

The Michael Fallon touching a journalist's knee story on the front page of that rag today isn't even mentioned in the dossier of 36 Tory sex pest MPs.

Why do you think the Murdoch propaganda empire would run with the least extreme allegation they could find, instead of any of the multitude of much more lurid and outrageous cases?

Edited by nickgusset (31 Oct 2017 11.57am)

It's not just The Sun though, and there was all sorts of Twitter warriors piling in on Adam Sandler. And then a few more measured responses pointing out that he also touched Dustin Hoffman's in a similar manner. Not all human contact is sexual or suggestive.

A lot is entirely down to nature and how we're programmed, we're programmed differently.

Women get called gold diggers when in actual fact it's the traits of a successful man they actually find attractive, ambition, drive, talent, intelligence. Men we're stupid, we go for looks, a good looking woman smiles and flutters her eyelashes at you and that's it we are sucked in.

Men who excel in these traits will be successful and will abuse that power, women who are blessed with looks will also abuse that.

Women trully hold the power, everything a man does is with the intention of attracting the opposite sex, take women out the equation and the world would end tomorrow, men would get bored and fight untill we wipe each other out. Take men out the equation and life would go on.

Until the last woman died, for their would be no one to partake in reproduction.

There comes a point when women get broody and want babies. Step right up, The Man.
