Whose kicking is best, I think Wayne. Play him at centre forward and flog Benteke. Funny. That's what happened to the Northern Ireland keeper!!

Still use players at posts on corners. Some of them are in no man's land anyway Schlupp, PVA, MacArthur) - why not help Julian out. The Chelsea goal could have been avoided with a postman...

... or if Speroni had actually moved before the ball went in. Give him a chance. First game back after being out of the first team for a very long time. There's bound to be a bit of rust there. Also it was a very well placed header right into the corner. Hence why people are saying that someone on the post would have helped keep it out. Be fair now CPJ. You've been willing to give Hennesey long enough to prove himself. Now it's Julian's time to do it. Fair is fair.

... or if Speroni had actually moved before the ball went in. The Chelsea player was just a couple of yards out, surrounded by passive Palace-guys. You think he told Julian of the ball's direction? Did you watch the WBA goal vs Leicester - there was a goalie who should probably have moved?

Couldn't agree with you more.....Speroni should have continued to be our No.1 after he broke his hand in 2015! I know he's getting on - but let's give him a last season....if you're good enough you're old enough!

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong |

You've had an agenda against WH since before he even played for us and have never been willing to give him a chance. You, sir, are a hypocrite. As for the header, from where I was at the game it looked to be 12 yards out - I have now looked at it again and it was from about 8 yards (though not 'a couple' as Thai-eagle claims). I still think Speroni should have got nearer to it. That's the trouble with him - he likes the flash saves (hence the ridiculous dive to save a shot when the whistle had already gone several seconds earlier for offside) but struggles with a header from 8 yards.

It's less than a second after the whistle he saves it. If anything it showed anticipation. If he was looking at the linesman I'd be wondering what the hell he was doing. Your comments as to "he likes flash saves" are frankly laughable. In fact you contradict yourself in your own post - if he should have got nearer to the goal, maybe he would have gone flying through the air, pirouetted four times, then saved it with a Higuita style Scorpion Kick. Still lets look at the facts in the post. You stated it was 12 yards out and he should have saved it based on seeing it at the game. When it was pointed out it was a bit different you then say "I have now looked at it again and it was from about 8 yards" So your arguments earlier on in this thread were based on what you thought the facts were at the time and all of a sudden a 12 yard header straight at the keeper, has been pointed out it was an 8 yard header into the corner.
