" I'm not rubbishing women's football. I used to play Sunday League football in and around Croydon - great fun (most of the time). I just get irritated when it is rammed down our throat with TV coverage on a par with high level football just to make out it is on a par with top level men's football. Women's football has its place but I object to this attitude that I should like it. I've been a ref in a couple of after work ladies matches in the past as a favour.
