"putting these traumatised players back together"

Traumatised, really? I've just read about people losing their entire homes in hurricane irma and ethnic cleansing currently happening in Burma. What a surprise - sensationalist bullsheet from The Sun.

If I was on £30,000 a week I'd train with the Under 8's if told to.

May explain things a bit. Suppose have to give SP some credit for realising his mistake and acting swiftly to correct it. Just a pity employed the wrong man in the first place. Lets hope his replacement can steady the ship and get us to 40 points by April.

Yes FDB was right, Kelly plays like Frankenstein and is terrible and Ward probably needed a kick up the arse.

Bollocks. It he hadn't got lucky with Pulis (for seven months) and Allardyce (for five) he'd have got Palace precisely nowhere on and off the pitch after having £600mill to play with.

He's a bang average Chairman.

His best appointments have happened when they were out of work and keen to work in the prem. Pardew was bought out of contract and that was excellent for 12 months. Give him a selection and he hasn't a clue unfortunately. I said, as you know, silva, Dyche, Pellegrino, interviewed in that order.

This is a joke of a post. show some respect for the man who has transformed this club you fool.

This is not about the past it is about the future, face facts since SP has been back in PL we have gone from crises to crises, we have no stable management set-up, SP has made and continue to make appalling decisions, all the time making the club more and more unattractive to good manager and players. Frankly his turnover of Managers is a reflection on his people skills and in his own words we are in the results business, yep total agree with that statement so lets look at your performance over the last 4 and bit seasons, too many managers, bad transfer decisions, far to many player arrive sick and unable to string together any game time, waiting far to long to sack Pardew, home record in PL 26 wins from 78 played, to much medaling in football matters when you do not have the necessary skill set, Freedman in as Sporting Director when he can even be a success at management and now the crazy talk of bring in the pensioner who at 70 should be putting his slippers on and forgetting at work, not sure he will even be able to switch computer let a lone use it for tactical reasons!

For all he has done for the club he must be commended but unfortunately Parish's decision making is awful.

Everyone knew FDB was a bad fit.
We change strategy every other manager about how we want to play.
Our summer transfer window was a shambles, as it was last summer
3 different managers in 10m... the players must be thinking WTF being coached to do different things constantly.

However, what I will say it that this decision to sack him is the right one regardless of the embarrassment it brings on everyone at the club.

Tough time but fair play to the squad yesterday, they put on a decent performance in terms of commitment and effort, gave 100% and ran their bo11ocks off for the most part. That is not always enough though unfortunately.

To go through all this only to possibly bring in Woy, who we f***ing denied the job to before would be absolutely embarrassing.

This has been the epitome of 1 step forward and 2 steps back. To put so much effort into appointing somebody, only to not give them time to do anything before firing them and putting yourself back into the position you were 3 months ago is simply just insane. Insane!

INSANE!

And to think how long it took to get rid of Pardew the plonker.

It's the perpetual problem of only being able to tell so much from interview. To be fair FdB was making all the right noises after he was appointed; evolution not revolution, up our possession, build attacks from the back, and I could see why SP would have been taken in by that. It was only when he said our squad was ideal for 3-4-3 that the alarm bells started to ring. Plus de Boer has a rather odd managerial CV, being basically a one club man and at a club that's a very big fish in a tiny pond. And he could pass his short spell at Inter off as a blip (although good luck to him doing that with two blips).

Parish detractors are more of a threat to the club than Parish could ever be. If he decides to leave because of all the over emotional flak from idiots then we truly are in trouble.

Parish has made a mistake with De Boer and everybody makes mistakes but this guy and his group saved this club and made the decisions that enabled the club to be promoted.

People forget that we had no right to be promoted.....We were a middling spending Championship side. The Freedman era had some brilliant transfers in it.

Most managers have little more loyalty to their clubs than players do. Parish is a fan who has put his money into the club, you don't get more loyal than that.

Everyone has the right to criticise, but criticism of Parish needs to be made with the common sense that this guy and 2010 were the best thing that has happened to this club since the glory days of Venables.
