If Roy is appointed quickly then Fdb was gone in break. So decision made after 3 games. Three possibilities, gross incompetence on behalf of the board, something amiss with Fdb, part of the Americans cunning plan to have a series of dreadful sporting teams.

And if so, why didn't we just sack after the Swansea game? Everything about this has been handled laughably.

Have seen it all now as a Palace fan. Following yesterday's performance as a yardstick of the evident progress made following Swansea result, I feel genuinely sorry for De Boer. Both Board and Players may want to 'pull together' but to pull the trigger in this way is desperately harsh stuff. Chris Sutton's words deserve to resonate around Selhurst Park, and if Roy Hodgson is unable to turn things around then what will THAT say...

Bet Eddie Howe is quaking in his boots! Seems somebody at the club seems to think FDB was in charge for 5 Games just about sums up the arithmetic!

I think that what always surprises fans is the timing of things. Why did it take so long to replace Sam? Now I firmly believe SP missed out on his top targets. The appointment of Dougie in a role he had no experience in was odd...was this a telling sign of how perhaps SP and FdB already had a poor working relationship? FdB made it very clear he wanted a striker, a GK and a RWB. He got none of those positions. Had SP already decided he was going to sack him? This now seems very likely.
We will forever be remembered for the FdB appointment, poor start and record breaking sacking. What worries me now is that will any decent manager who likes his teams to play decent football be forever put off from managing our club? What the club has shown this summer is that it lacks strategy and it lacks patience.

If you are going to change the 'philosophy' of a club from counter attack/long ball to passing or vice versa, you're going to need minimum £70m.

Parish should resign his position as chairman and take his responsibility for the way he has allowed this club to be a laughing stock within football and now we know why no second striker = compensation for fdb and finally what happens if Woy loses his next 4 games their goes the January transfer kitty , absolute disgrace.
