Being jailed for making a bomb isn't damning? That's just one example of many facts in there. You are right though, some of the citations are from opinion pieces. If you wish to dismiss those, fine. But you can't dismiss the arrests and prison sentences.

Perhaps not no.

What would you describe momentum members as ?

Are momentum taking to the streets, defacing Tory Party Social clubs, holding marches through the Henley Regatta etc..

A lot of Momentum are w*nkers, who think they're the class warriors, but they're more of a pain to the labour party than UK citizens.

There's loads of different types of people in momentum. Bus drivers, retired grannies, students, gays, straights, teachers , doctors etc etc. In the main, they all want labour to represent ordinary people and bring back essential services and amenities to public ownership.
Of course there will be some radicals and ejits among them, much as there is with any large group of people.

They may want nice and cuddly outcomes but I suspect that they would see us going back to the IMF cap in hand.

They would take zero responsibility for it of course.

Still, being called out by U.N reports on the government on treatment of the disabled is ok though.

I don't know of this criticism but if its bad I wouldn't agree with the UN on that personally....compared to the rest of the world we must be amongst the best.

Have people been treating you badly then? (forgive me...cheap shot joke)

I think the secret reality is that you want the fall of capitalism.

I don't know about individuals but I'm impressed with their mission statement.

Like you did with the key points of Labour's manifesto. What points do you object to in the EDL mission statement.

I said I'd have a look and pick some things out. But let's just be clear, you are impressed by the following:

Originally posted by nickgusset Just post the mission statment. I'm not wasting my time wading through the EDL website trying to find it. Then I'll go through it for you.
I linked to the actual mission statement page but sure....though I don't like doing things like that as it makes a large post most of the time...and I don't know this group well enough to 'promote' them. But as you specifically asked. I'll just keep it to their intro and bullet points.

The English Defence League’s Mission Summary

(1) The English Defence League has risen from the English working class to act, lead and inspire in the struggle against global Islamification

It was formed out of the 'United Peoples of Luton', which was mainly the local football firm. Tommy Robinson himself got his psuedonym directly from the author of books about Luton's MIG's firm. Robinson claimed that the group was not against all muslims but the rise of radical islam. Many rank and file members were said to be anti all Muslims. The group formed because it was said that a local muslim was trying to recruit local lads to fight for the Taliban in Afghanistan. (Paraphrased from wiki)

NB) This is why I have reservations about the FLA, however well meaning they may be

(2) The English Defence League stands for human rights
• We stand for free speech in practice We want top be able to incite racial hatred and or violence
• We stand for free speech in the law We want the law to allow us to incite racial hatred and or violence
• We stand for the right of English people to their own country over and above people from elsewhere We have a superiority complex
• We stand for the right of British Muslims to speak freely about problems deriving from Islam Fair enough,
where will you give them a platform

• Our activities are peaceful. We are committed to non-violence [Link] and [Link]

(3) The English Defence League stands for democracy and the rule of law
• We stand for democracy and the rule of law by opposing sharia
• We stand for English cultural norms by opposing sharia
• We oppose the Islamic distinction between Muslims and non-Muslims (kuffar)
• We demand effective action against the threat of terrorism in the UK
(4) The English Defence League educates the British public about Islam
• We reject politically correct depictions of Islam in Britain
• We promote an open debate about Islam in British life
• We promote a balanced depiction of Islam as a religion and ideology
(5) The English Defence League respects English tradition
• We are proud of England’s culture
• We expect migrants to the UK to live in harmony with English culture they have to be made to feel accepted and be allowed to get on with the daily grind like the rest of us, rather than have a bunch of f***wits like the EDL spitting at them because they are a different religion
• We refuse to tolerate the intolerant Irony klaxon
• We support our armed forces
The English Defence League is international in outlook The english defence league Copenhagen division anyone?
• We work in solidarity with others around the world but only if they are fascist cunds too

How's that Stirling. Doesn't paint you in a good light if you think this is reasonable does it

Admit it Nick. You like Islam more than your own culture and would be happy to live under Sharia law.
