Yes exactly. I just cannot fathom why people are even mentioning his name!? I wouldn't allow him to be a program seller if I was in charge of Palace. You are so right. The idea that people on here seem to be praying that we lose on Sunday so that FdB gets sacked so that we can get Glenn Hoddle speaks volumes.

There were reasons for that - Pardew passed on an unfit undisciplined side for which Allardyce got them into a fitter organised team in those early matches which finally kicked in and kept us up. Plus Sakho eventually was match fit to start for us. Our new manager seems to have taken us back to the Pardew days rather than taking us forward from when Allardyce left us - It's back to the drawing board and it's going to be even harder with zero points (my prediction) after 8 matches for someone to turn this around? You seem to forget, that Allardyce left after one win in his last 5 games and that was against a very poor Hull side. Its pretty obvious the key factor is Sakho, without him Allardyce was very poor, you watch FDB when Sakho is fit.

When he joined us we were 17th and had lost 8 of our previous 10 games and the 'Mood music' was that we were going down. He brought in the likes of Luka and Sakho and they played a big part to help us finish in 14th place and stave off the dreaded relegation, hence why he is seen in such a shining light.

Yes, he rescued us from relegation, but we still lost a lot of games without Sakho, who Parish sanctioned as a loan. We were still a poor team when he left, the results show that.

You are allowing your personal dislike of Sam Allardyce to colour your views. It was always going to be a tough call to rescue a team from a year long losing spiral and the fact that we eventually ended up 14th was nothing short of a miracle, for which SA deserves the credit. Parish deals with all of the transfer business so your comment in that respect is meaningless. If SA had chosen to stay we would already have points on the board this season, even without Sakho. You think, in an earlier post, that FdB should be judged when Sakho is fit. Well we'll have the chance to do that in a few weeks, but I personally have my doubts he'll have the impact he had previously if played in a back three. Time will tell.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |
