Even if there is a fee, it's going to be like 10% of his transfer value. If that was £20 million (which is far too high) that means 2 mill. Which is relatively nothing.

I think this could be leading to a bid for Sakho for 20-25 million and then next season the priority will be right back when Fosu-Mensah returns to United.

We also desperately need a striker and maybe the board have said we can only loan one defender if we spend on a striker?

I don't think Sakho is coming back, look at all FDB signings all young and hunger. The next will be Chambers imo , then a back up striker and a goalie.

I think when all is said and done if the choices were Sakho or loan Mesnah, loan Loftus-Cheek, purchase goalie, purchase Chambers, purchase back-up striker then I think we went the right way about things.

I agree, especially Sakho injury record. Would love us to get heaton but at 31, they'd want 15+m. That's probably too much. I think we missed out big time on begovic.

I'm not sure what his best position is, is TFM most likely to play at RM/RWB or RCB in a 3-4-3?

I don't know ATM but the thought (media suggested) was to buy 4 players- 1 gk, 1 rwb, 1 cb, and striker. Depends where de Boer sees Mensah is he a wingback?

The fact he's named Luka ahead of Tomkins suggests that he may not see him as Rcb role alongside dann.

Cant see it myself. I think it was Fosu or Chambers for RCB.
