Maybe May should create a new department, stick Maajid Nawaz and Douglas Murray at the head of it and see if they can forge some kind of path towards tackling the huge problems we have here.

If you want to debate politics or religion maybe start a debate on the subject, you could tittle it, 'wot we gonna do wit all them foreign muslims?' Or who's better at fighting terrorists Corbyn or May?

Hmm. Let's see.

"Someone disagrees with my political viewpoints, so I'm going to call them misinformed. I'm making a statement based on my politics whilst castigating those for making a political statement". Good work, you mental gymnast.

I am "entittled" (sic) to discuss how we came to this atrocity. Now is the time. It is always the time. Because burying our heads in the sand will only ensure this will happen again and again.

Tragic to wake up to last night's events. Third terrorist attack within short window of time however police and emergency services have on each occasion responded heroically and at considerable speed.

Given that Intelligence Services are aware of over 2000 known jihadis and that the former's resources are stretched, should it now be time to incur internment against those who may pose the greatest risk to the public? The Government will be accused of inflaming civil liberties but there are at least seven innocent victims from last night who had their civil liberties taken permanently with their families bereft at such a needless, heartless loss.

Jeez.
Some of the comments here. Considering how many of us either still live or originate from London and the surrounding area it's not that surprising that many of us had family or friends out in London last night even if it wasn't in the immediate area of the attack.

There is a real undercurrent of posters having personal snide digs at people on this site. In a lot of cases against people you don't even know or have never met. Get a grip ffs

It is time to use emergency measures and round up people of interest and detain them.
If we are interested in saving lives that is a short term solution. Anyone who is against terrorism and loves Britain would not object. If you are sympathetic or involved in any way with Islamic extremism then you should know that you are fair game.

There will be whining about human rights and persecution but that has to be come a secondary issue. Terrorist cells need to be infiltrated, individuals detained or killed if need be. Time to stop procrastinating and take action. Only apologists and sympathisers will object.

Calling for people not to debate issues on a public forum used for debate doesn't make any sense.

If you think debating these issues is disrespectful then don't be apart of the debate.

It's remarkable, isn't it. After years and years of shutting down debate on the causes of these atrocities, the liberal left now want to shut down debate on the consequences.

Their political aims of a multicultural enrichment are now bearing fruit. 7 dead. 48 injured. Yes, they have indeed "rubbed our noses in the diversity". They now need to own it.

With the increasing frequency of attacks in Europe, there would never be "the right time" discuss these atrociries, as we're too busy scraping up bodies off the streets and preparing for the next one.

Some strong words from Theresa May in her statement just now. Lets hope that she means it when she says 'enough is enough'.

But don't mention Powell's 'rivers of blood' speech.
That would be an outrage.

All this is so predictable and yet the liberal/left still want to shift the blame to anywhere except the obvious.

I've said it before; proscribe the branch of medieval and backward warped interpretation of Islam that these b'stards follow and close down any mosques that allow its voice.

Wouldn't be difficult to do if there was the political will by the Gov but there isn't.

Exactly this. I truly cannot fathom how successive governments warn us about the scourge of extreme Islamists, look stoic when people are murdered by extreme Islamists and then actively support and look to do arms deals with the regimes that directly espouse, bankroll and inspire extreme Islamists worldwide.

There is even legislation on the books to cover hate speech - use it and get the mouthpieces out of circulation.

Agreed. If anti British propaganda is being preached then bulldoze the mosque and arrest those responsible.
