Appreciation of e e cummings?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Sorry I know more about 70's / 80's journeyman Stan Cummins. His niece Vicky Cummins worked in curry's at the same time I did a Saturday job there.

Blimey. I had a Saturday job in Curry's in Sutton in 77/78. Is the first time we've shared common ground (other than CPFC, of course)?

Me and the Mrs got caught shagging outside Clapham North tube station. The judge fined us a pony and told us to use a bit of common in future.

And no doubt if caught "watching going for gold " you would have cried unfair dismissal to the union.

I think that spelling corrections can be fine if posted in humorous style. My personal favourite from these boards is a reply to the misspelling (now that's a tricky word had to check it!!) of Fraizer Campbell's surname as Cambell. A poster who I won't embarrass by naming came up with the classic "Now that's just taking the P." Hard to be offended by that.
