And Tottenham, with more money than us,have signed no players. How many weeks are they behind us?
Their fans must be frantic that they will crash and burn in the UCL leading to low morale and a relegation struggle in the EPL. If only they had splashed the cash and got Neymar, as all their fans were urging them to do.

Who cares about Tottenham are we actually competing with them next season. Squad wise we are actually weaker than last season

Although I am not that concerned with our current lack of signings I don't think that daft posts like yours help anyone.

Spurs were not in danger of relegation last season and they don't have quite as many obvious weaknesses in their team as we do.

They also have a chairman and manager that know exactly what they are doing in the transfer market and will end up with exactly the squad that they want by the start of the season

I'm not so sure we are falling behind yes i could be a lot better,it could be lot worse if you look at some of the teams around as like Southampton,Stoke buying no one and selling there best players we're not so bad.

Casting eyes in the direction of Townsend to replace Arnautovic.

West Ham have significantly better income streams to afford to buy in this overinflated market and let's be honest, are a better proposition overall than Palace. Bournemouth.....well I struggle to understand how they comply with any FFP rules, but they chuck money around like a drunken sailor.

The promoted clubs are all having their struggles in this market, and you can add the likes of West Brom, Stoke, Watford.

I certainly think that the squad needs strengthening and on top of the radical change of manager and playing style, there are some cause for concerns.

Hopefully we can get some business done in the next couple of weeks.

West Ham had a couple of cr&p Windows after a few good ones. It's obvious they need to pull out some stops. That diving hull w&nker in January was a bit of an insult for a club that should be mid table. Zaza on loan was a cheap disaster. Payet forcing a move also.

It depends on how intent Frank is on playing 3-4-3 because we are not ready, simply because we're short of at least 2 players to play it (plus speed of CB concerns). Those 2 players then have to click with the squad and never get injured. But this is the formation that suits our players after all. The players plus the players we don't have.

If we hold off this 3-4-3 for a month then less concerned. But we need to get points on the board early. We don't want to drop points vs the strugglers yet again, and that's after Frank saying winning is more important than style. Needs to balance short term with long term. Read recently that the prem can punish football ideologies. Very true.

In my humble estimation, if we had appointed Dyche as manager we would be seeing a completely different approach from what we are seeing from FDB.Might have been a 4-4-2 formation like deployed at Burnley etc etc and maybe our supporters would have been more comfortable with this formation and approach to the game.

I sense that with the change to 3-4-3 and the personnel changes this involves, supporters are a tad nervous as to how this will all pan out. One can sense an unease and if we get off to an indifferent start, FDB will be pilloried with cries of "Walking before running" "Not knowing the PL" etc etc.Could be a short 'Honeymoon period' for FDB.

He'll get a fair amount of time. More than a few games. It's just hard to say without knowing the performances and points. If you're persisting with 3-4-3 and after 6 games it's 1 point and after 10 games it's 4 points then it's not looking promising. But then again it might not be 3-4-3 and so bad as above. Too early to say but a few games is too soon. After 10 you're getting a very good idea. After 6 alarm bells should be ringing to manager himself.
