Many people despise Noades too but for me he was good for the club on the whole. People forget that he was first and foremost a businessman and not a Palace supporter. And I'm not sure what his mother did to deserve the lack of respect from the terraces in the song.

For me : Like to hear what you think. I feel like suggesting Steve Bruce given his mercenary behaviour towards the club given his appetite to preferring the golden shilling as opposed to servitude towards the club. I also can't help but feel that we still don't know full picture of Pulis departure given visit through the legal system.

For me it has to be Lennie Lawrence in charge for a massive two games then ups and leaves for Bolton where he did a smashing job and has never been heard from again

When Smith returned for his last spell, i wasn't too impressed, neither was i with Francis. Pardew was always too arrogant and didn't have the results to back it up. Holloway tho, that bloke grinder my gears. He was obviously taught the same game plan as Pardew
This was once a quality forum.... |

Trevor Francis. He let Gregg Berhalter go on a free after the 2002 World Cup without any cover at CB simply because he hated Americans. I'm not saying Berhalter was the greatest CB Palace ever had, far from it, but he was a warm body when we had very few in the back. Terry Venables. I'd hire him to be head coach but never let him anywhere near the club's bank account so never let him be manager. England was a perfect place for him. I can't really blame Bruce for what he did as I was told things by the late Chief Steward Ron Greatorex about financial shenanigans Dominic Jordan did to him. I am not a Pardew hater but he did lose his way and had to be let go.
Divorced...And LOVING it! |

But, the winner is by a country mile...........Alan Smith. He was crap first time around, and then got a completely undeserved second chance where he was even worse. Should never be allowed anywhere near Palace again. Is this the same Alan Smith who took us to the old Division One title earning himself the League Manager's Association ‘Championship Manager of the Year’ in the process and who in his first season with us in the Premiership took us to the semi finals of both cup competitions?

I guess you have to be of a certain age, but it's hard to dislike anybody more than Alan Mullery.
