It took Attwell four years of being consistently s***e before this happened. Mike Dean of course was demoted in a blaze of publicity, took a Championship match the following week which he f***ed up with another bollocks decision, and was then quietly put back in the Premiership. Can't find a ny other examples at all. And Clattenburg, notoriously dreadful, gets away with all sorts. So do most of the others.

If youbseriously think that this system is maintaining the standards of officials then you are delusional.

"Notoriously dreadful" - only it appears on HOL and possibly BBS.

NO such referee is awarded 3 major finals in a year and is seen as one of the best in the world by those who know far more about these things than you and I.

But let's not turn this into a WILLO or Clattenburg thread and de-rail the debate.

Anyway Ladies and Gentleman.

This really IS my last post on this thread.

I appreciate I posted this before but this was after midnight after celebrating our win and I forgot about it this morning - my memory isn't what it used to be !

It was said to you as a joke for good reason. Only a moron would think it's a valid argument in defence of that refs numerous errors yesterday.

If blinking affected your sight so much, why are we all safe to drive? Because you don't really miss anything blinking it's so fast.

I don't believe you were told anything by anyone. All these contacts that you think you know, eh trolley.

I am also still waiting to hear back from you on my post earlier as to how if according to you the ref didn't see what happened he booked Jimmy Mac for diving? If you don't see it you give nothing. You replied to everything else but that, I expect you were busy washing your hog again.

Even shearer couldn't believe the ref didn't see it was a foul , or even the linesman who was even closer than the ref. Can't believe the standard of refereeing this season. I've seen better in Sunday league football.

A lot of the refs are wannabe Clattenburgs.
Make a few controversial decisions, get a bit of publicity, before you know it you get called a top ref and earn a fortune.

Yeah it's been beyond bad. We've been on the wrong end of so many terrible decisions. The protection or lack of it Wilf gets almost every game is a disgrace. Refs give players free reign to foul him. The moment we do anything it's a yellow card.

Yesterday was a new low in refs decisions going against us, to win despite that says how good our performance was.

Willo, I don't know what you've been drinking but you really need to give it up. Today you've been posting stuff that even by your remarkable standards qualifies as some of the most fantastic bollocks imaginable. The ref mistook a foul for a dive because he blinked? When he then booked the player? Seriously? Is that really your position? Incredible.

Do you spout s***e like this in the pub as well?

As for my "Defending", I am NOT a 'defence lawyer' for Madley or any other referee and try to see decisions from the perspective of the man in the

middle.

At least I accept that referees make mistakes - seemingly to the majority on here they are expected to be right 100% of the time. Of course I have witnessed many 'Faux Pas' over the years but can understand why mistakes were made.

what do you call it then? You defend EVERY referee against anyone who dares to comment negatively concerning referees performance. No body expects 100% correct decisions, no one here has ever said that, BUT they would like fair unbiased refereeing, and thats NOT what they are getting.. why can there be no appeal against a very obvious wrongly issued yellow card? Even a blind fool like Madely, sorry Bobby, should be able to look at replays and have the card rescinded. I guess they dont allow it because it would make the referee seem fallible and the FA wouldnt like that would they? maybe you could ask one of your friends in high places, Marky maybe, and see what he thinks, if indeed he does think anything other than "screw Palace"
Oops just seen you've made your last post on this thread so we will wait till the next refereeing debacle and start all over

or maybe Trolley could answer!

That's obviously is true. Problem is he saw it clear as day. We know this because he booked Macca for a dive, so clearly he didn't blink at the wrong time on this occasion. Lino needs to take big stick for it also.

Seems to me he thought the Boro played the ball and Macca made contact and took a dive. Replays showed otherwise. Not a great moment in the history of officiating but I've seen much worse. There also seems to be an emphasis on calling dives whether they are or not.

So we conclude ref Madely is no blinking good.

Perhaps he assumed it was Zaha, took out his card because, after all, the Laws do say that nothing done to Zaha counts as a foul, and then found himself face to face with McArthur whom, in all the years he has been playing for Palace, I have never, ever seen dive.
