Pardew is the main culprit as many on here have stated but he needed to be employed to cause the problem.
I reckon that keeping him afet Wembley is the only mistake SP has made since CPFC2010 rescued us and so I can hardly blame him for showing loyalty to a Manager.
How anyone can defend Pardew and his record in 2016 is still beyond me but hey - each to their own!
Our performances towards the end of AP's reign were no better or worse than they are under BFS really.
It is all bad and we can only hope that the turning point is a week tomorrow at around 5pm when Palace beat the Boro!

I thought you were on the money regarding Pardew, he was a spinless twerp as a player and a c*** as a manager but think you are going too far with Kate Garraway, she is lovely not just because she has nice tits but as a person she is very friendly and not up her own arse. I have met her twice and she was very nice and is better looking than she appears on tv.

I believe I read somewhere in the 'Dim and distant' past that Kate Garraway is a supporter of Gillingham FC.

This is correct.
In the 9 prem games Sam has taken charge we're W 1 D 1 L 7
In the 9 prem games running up to Pardew's boot W 1 D1 L 7

Considerable difference is in Pardews 9 games we scored 17 (Conceding 23), in Sam's we've scored 4 (Conceding 17).

To conclude, I would love to tonk Boro.

BFS has only been incharge for 8 games hasn't he - started with the Wtford game?
14 goals conceded and 4 scored - not good.
The two worst defeats (7 goeals conceded) - West Ham and Sunderland - ironically two of his previous Clubs - were both started by appalling goalkeeping errors.

Steve Parish is forever talking of : "Taking Palace to the next level."

Looks like he is about to be proved right!

I think the one against Watford had more significance.

I know all about that. I've read the transcript from court, thanks.

What I'd like to know yet we never will is, what happened in the few months regarding squad transfers before any of what was used as evidence in court.

For all we know Pulus may have walked even if he signed whoever he wanted because West Ham had come calling. But from what I remember he signed Kelly within 24 hours before resigning and Parish signed Zaha who it's rumoured he didn't want.

Parish was right to take him to court. I'd just love to know what went on and whether Pulis wanted ageing experienced players who'd see us ok for a couple of years and then stuffed about now. Actually it might be better than what we have. A talented bunch of individuals whose good resale value that'll drop a bit after relegation.

My reckoning is it was probably more to do with autonomy and control than the type of player.

Turning point was the summer of 1980. What would he have been worth today?

Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I thought Paul Barron was decent but probably not worth that much in today's market.

The 'when' part was the turn of 2015/16, I remember Chelsea playing their best game all year and pumping us 3-0 in the rain, it all went a bit tits up after that.

The why is more difficult. Pardew and Allerdyce are both good managers and they couldn't figure it out, hopefully Allerdyce will. Don't think it's one thing though, just a series of circumstance. Maybe the rumours of discontent around the Chelsea game were true and triggered it but who knows.

Yes, that was hugely significant as well. Had that gone in, we might well have won that game and would likely be in a much better position than we are now.

But things were going well prior to the West Ham game. Alan Pardew had just won Manager of the Month with some good results and we were favourites to beat a West Ham side that had been playing poorly at the time.

Then the wind seemed to go out of our sails with Benteke's penalty miss. We failed to score, lost the game and then went on a lengthy poor run that culminated in Pardew losing his job. I don't think we've ever really recovered since that game and feel the penalty was the turning point both in that match and in the whole season up to now.

Let's hope there's still time for another more positive turning point before it's too late!
