no workrate in big ben whatsoever

Have to agree with Den, Benteke is not working hard enough or showing the aggression that a centre forward of his height and build should. Ought to be terrorising the defences he plays against. Saw Dean Saunders on Sky this morning talk about Ian Rush and how he was the best defender they had at Liverpool because he would second guess more often than not where the defenders would pass the ball then shut them down. Think how much work Andy Johnson used to put in! No doubting Benteke's skill but he has to add perspiration and aggression to his game but in the right way not like a headless chicken. Something which, I am sure Sam will address quickly. Add this and we will have a superb player on our hands.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I think people are being too harsh on Bentekers.

8 in 16. great record so far. CB works hard for our team I've watched every game so far this season,(TV and matchdays) my one gripe is when we are attacking he is slow to get in the box (and his penalty style. Other than that we have a top class striker. Look how he was for Villa. Sam will get that form out of him I am sure. Just back the boys and back Sam. COYP!

Yannick Bolasie - Glenn Murray - Wilfried Zaha

Most exciting attacking trio at Selhurst Park in years.

No work rate? If he had no work rate, he wouldn't have won the penalty at Watford. Regarding pressing the back line, well that's generally up to the manager as to whether that happens, and since we had Pards, I'm by surprised he was unsure what to do.

you sing the same song every time his work ethic is zero compared to quality players who cause absolute terror in defences when they do not have the ball thus creating opportunities for others. No questions about his potential but he is lazy and needs to work the back four more, do you understand football?

SA will sort out the workrate of the team (defend from the front) and sort out our fitness (we drop off in the last 10 mins every game!).I'd rather have CB thanks scoring goals regularly. Time to stop leaking goals and win some games, starting on NYD at the Library. Now, that would be a great start to 2017!

yes I agree with you but the work rate is important as it is a team game and all great strikers have that edge, I'm sure you are right Sam will sort it but it must not be hidden as that is what will make CB a great striker rather than just an average one which is clearly what Klopp who is no idiot thought!

Big fan of both Murray and Gayle but they are not in the same league as CB (literally). He has 8 goals in 16, that's 1 in 2, and he's missed two pens.....granted shouldn't take pens anymore, but bar that he is class.
Expecting him to close the opponents back four, running around like a headless chicken and wasting energy isn't him being lazy it's 'fans' showing a lack of understanding of the game.
Making a scapegoat of CB for taking a shockingly s*** penalty is a joke.

clearly you do not understand football, look at the work rate of the really great strikers (Ian Rush for example), that' the difference which clearly Klopp understood and got rid of him!

Completely agree with this post.
It is starting to p*** me off how many people seem to think CB is lazy and not up for it.
