Timely link I think this pretty much seals it for Fat Scam. Good luck to him Palace have no agreement or contract in place with Allardyce and other options are being considered. But the 62-year-old is the most likely candidate, with club chairman Steve Parish saying Pardew's "expansive style of football hasn't worked". "Now we're going to wind the dial back the other way," Parish told BBC Sport.

Just so we know what sort of person Alan Pardew is. The latest name to become mired in sex text scandals, Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew supposedly filed for a court injunction that prevented him from being named in an apparent sex text affair back in April. The 55-year-old is believed to be the football boss that requested pictures from a woman in high heels, stockings and without underwear as a reward for his side winning an away match. Ordinarily, such an act wouldn't be so bad but, considering Pardew's wife was suffering from extreme stress and suicidal thoughts at the time, it's not rocket science to see why Pardew went to such extreme lengths to keep this quiet... Spend whatever it takes to get Eddie Howe. Failing that Sean Dyche and then Chris Coleman . Only managers I would try and poach. Out of work - I'd like us to have a punt on either Ryan Giggs or Gary Neville. Gary Rowett possibly. Just don't want Fat Sam anywhere near our club.

Edited by Bert the Head (22 Dec 2016 8.10pm) Spot on, CP does not have the talent or the ability to attract top six players, so we have to set our horizons as a good bottom half PL team, hopefully nearer the middle of the table. It seems from SP comments that he was party to the pretty football that now might get us relegated!

I'd rather have Dougie back than either of those two jokers. Coleman, no way. Where do I start with that dross. Howe, we tried that a few years back, didn't get him. There is no way he'd move now, doing a great job at the club he loves. Same re. Dyche. Maybe if either of those two get relegated you might have a chance. Rowett, fine, a decent managerial prospect, but not for the PL, not for us in this position. Now is not the time for elaborate experiments. Mental in the coconut level suggestions. Fat Scam it is. Mid table, done.

I don't think people should assume big Sam is in , I remember a couple of years ago people assuming Tim sherwood was our next manager then they pulled pardew out of the bag , mind you ill panic when I see him sitting in the exec stand at vicarage road on Boxing Day though

No shame in that

Tactics Tim. I think his days in management are over. I still think this from parish pretty much nails it on for moon face pint 'o wine. ...with club chairman Steve Parish saying Pardew's "expansive style of football hasn't worked". I moved to Bolton from Kent in 2003. As I couldn't get to as many Palace matches anymore I started watching the Wanderers. Big Sam mounded that team into a wonderful expansive passing team that on its day was a match for any Premiership side. Despite what people are saying it was certainly not all about the long ball. Yes, they were a hard resilient team and Wenger dreaded matches at the Reebok. If Sam can replicate that we will be top 10 if not top 6 candidates for seasons to come.
First match 5th October 1974 - not a good day! |
