Totally agree but it's going to be difficult getting Woodman out of the door. Why, is he on a big contract, or a big lunch?

Definitely getting on the ale tonight should have gone in the summer but I'll happily take this. Good riddance. Fraud of a manager

My first reaction to the news of AP's sacking was "spineless." Parish was all over the media after our 3-0 win over Southampton, backing him on the radio, saying he had a positive impact on all aspects of the the club. Now, I thought Pardew's transfers were appalling and his desire to rid the club of Murray and Jedinak an embarrassment. However, Parish and the owners were all for this new-look CPFC - out with the old and in with new - often French-speaking foreigners. Parish absolutely seemed to love this vision and to oust his man now is so yellow and lacking any backbone. What did you think he would say? "Yeah we won 3-0 but we might still sack him if he loses the next two"?. In my opinion, they gave the new look a fair shot and a lot of money. It was going absolutely nowhere. We beat a Southampton side who had probably the worst game they'll play all season (and were still fortunate with two of the goals and Fonte missing an absolute sitter). Otherwise we haven't got a point since September. I still quite like the guy, but his record was completely indefensible. Any other club would've sacked him weeks ago.

I understand all the reasons for Pardew's sacking but what if this is Steve Parish's first mistake? What if he and everyone else, including us fans, should've had the balls to see it through? Took pretty much the same defence about 5 minutes to adapt to Pulis kicking them into shape to be fair.

Fraud of a manager You obviously don't "heart" cpfc because if you did you would know our history properly and given Pardew's absolutely superb record the first twelve months he was here plus the man as our player you would show some respect.

Really wanted Pardew to succeed but alas! Right call by the incredibly patient board(and most fans) and the timing is right. Been a big fan of Keith Millen but I now can't help but feel he has now accomplished his usefulness to the club and it's time for him to move on. *Thanks Pardew for the FA Cup ran and a few other memories.

Sad. These things happen. Biggest issue is the toilet he bought. Agree he sold better players than he bought, as time has worn on this has made getting results tough. Edited by IMMER PALACE (22 Dec 2016 6.44pm)

The right decision which should have been made straight after the Cup Final.

A bit of respect is due regardless. However, I must have seen most of the games he played for us back in the day...and his feats on the pitch weren't all that. So he scored v the Scouse. Fair play. Other than that he was among our worst midfielders of the past 40 years. But I believe he tried and he was 8 minutes away from giving me arguably the happiest day of my life. So thanks for that.
