If we get beat against Watford we will be at exactly the same amount of points and games that Warnock got the boot on Boxing Day against Soton. Remember Warnock took over within the season, Pards has had all pre season. As a result a Boxing day loss and I think the owners will act.

I can't see us staying up with him in charge and he's had 12 months to sort out this slump in form. We need to change the manager.

We will beat Watford and then go on another 10 game losing run.....that seems to be what happens.

Difference with last season is that FA Cup run did become a massive distraction from Premier league priority. We just do not have the depth in squad for both. Perhaps best running out a 2 XI for the Cup and giving them the chance to vie for First Team places in the league = fire up the competition to play at the top level.

I actually like the guy and tbf to him we have been competitive in pretty much every game and don't look too far from being a decent team.

Saying that I've always said he should be given untill January and if we find ourselves in the bottom three then you really can't defend the guy. With the backing his had, the money his paid and the squad at his disposal, we should not be in the bottom three half way through the season. Every other manager is under the same pressure and would be sacked.

Changing manager could easily see us worse off and I'd rather we get 3 points at Watford and he can add a bit of quality in Jan and we can get through this season. I still belive if he stays we will have a much better 2nd half but bottom 3 come arsenal then he probably deserves the sack.

We have played well recently and should be 6 points better off than we now are, I would like Pardew to succeed but how much longer do you give him? I wouldn't like to make the decision to get rid or not, good luck with thar mr parish.

With one or two additions to the squad I
i.e. a striker and a left back, we have a decent squad. Unfortunately Pardew is tactically inept to get the best out of them. Instead of setting up the team go take the game to the opposition, he tries to get a result by stopping the opposition playing, with inevitable results. He insists on playing a system that has not worked for over a year and doesn't have a plan B.I have - get another manager in now!

Let's keep the ball this season!

Watched the game on sky, although I am a STH and the panel agreed we have enough in the squad to be doing better, but we're not and the buck stops with AP how much longer can we give him?

In response to the topic question: I was Pardew in until the Swansea game, where, seeing it first-hand, us losing that spectacularly has completely sent me the other way. In believed that due to our stature as a club; should we, shouldn't we be a solid Premierleague team? I think the fact that, on paper, we should be better than this, shows Pardew's ineptitude.

I'm willing to forget the second half of the season last season (afterall, we got to the FA Cup final, stayed up and had no real quality up top). Even forgetting that, Pardew is in a very precarious position, with us hovering delicately over the drop zone (by 1pt and much better GD).

Pardew doesn't do himself justice by making excuses every week, because at the end of the day, every team gets good and s*** luck at different times of the season. The way he goes about himself reminds me of a bird playing hard to get... teasing you with the "good performances, but unlucky" and a "team in transition," when in reality we could very easily go down (or she finds a new bloke to bang).

..FA cup is now a piece of crap, big teams don't care until they get into the last four and treat it like moan.u did when they beat us, imagine sacking the manager after winning it twenty years ago...there would be a riot! the cup run although exciting was a huge drain for the team.

Didn't save Sherwood at Villa, though? Absolute riots all over Birmingham there was.

I never even bothered going today. I'm just so disillusioned with the whole s*** storm. I have never disliked a manager like I dislike Pardew. We have better players but worse performances, only one man to blame for that. Whilst Murray gets those c***s promoted and Gayle gets the Geordies up, Pardew is taking us down.
Still good business selling Murray wasn't it?
