To save you the trouble, I can only re-iterate that it is universally accepted that Hull were fortunate to be awarded the penalty.Hope this answers your question.

Suppose it's a near as I'm gonna get, Willo almost admits ( without actually saying so) that the ref f***ed up yesterday! Edited by the silurian (11 Dec 2016 4.08pm)

No I'm not toeing any "Party line". All I do is to try and see it from a referee's standpoint and try to understand why on occasions they make decisions not universally approved. People have accused me of never admitting that referees make mistakes but this is simply not the case as you will see in this debate. why on occasions they make decisions not universally approved. We are not talking about decisions that are not universally approved, which is setting the bar very low. We are talking about decisions that are 100% wrong and which everyone can see are wrong. Like yesterday.

By "Universally approved" I meant that decisions that are generally accepted to have been made in error.Once can therefore deduce that those considered 100% incorrect can enter this category.

Decisions universally conemned, I think he means - even Snodgrass admitted the decision was wrong and so did his manager, in a roundabout mealy-mouthed and quite embarrassed-sounding kind of way. This standard of refereeing is not just unfortunate, not just bad luck, not just swings and roundabouts. It's totally f****** unacceptable.

And when Dawson? Was clinging on for dear life? ..bit like that Watford game wasn't it at home when they decided to make us an example of handling/pushing in the box, was it Jedinak? these decisions are very hit and miss and the only way to sort them is by having another ref sat in a room away from influence with an earpiece.
