Cabaye was a major signing but I feel, we are much better without him in the line up.

Just as well you don't pick the team, as you seem to have no knowledge of football.

He got the bird from Sunderland fans yesterday why is that because he played for Newcastle or because they feared him (or both)?

Newky links for sure. They would put our rivalry with Brighton to shame historically, the two cities(?) have been at each other's throat for centuries I would guess.

First of all what a lovely problem to have for a change.

How I see it, Ledley is playing at somewhere near his best, as is Punch. Cabaye is not. He is under performing so at present it stands to reason he should be dropped he was for the Stoke game and we battered them.

He comes back in against Sunderland and we go two down. He is undoubtedly a class player, but not operating currently anywhere near the best of his ability. I also think I read in today's rags that punch is top in the prem for assists above the 100 million Pogba even !

What we have is a lovely dilemma, about how to fit the talent we have into the system we want to play. If I was AP I'd be on the phone to Wenger for a few tips, love or loathe the man you can't argue with his record of turning unknowns into household names, and finding the right players for the fit of his style of play.

Back to Cabaye:

He is of an age now (30, 31 in Jan 17) where he should be at his peak not struggling for form. If I was AP I would be thinking about offloading in the window and seek a young fresher replacement, obviously if one is available. My personal opinion is that what he offers at the minute can be easily replaced, so unless he starts running games between now and Christmas I think we should vent him, and get in a new face.

Neither Cabaye or Pardew need this thread to realise that the former is under-performing and yet he clearly has the innate ability, plus coaching output, to pick up his game. Not helped by past injuries.
