Granted, he is not alone in this disposition but anyone who claims to be a belguard of moral politics and offering 'different way' when getting elected and then breaks his promises, deserves scrutiny and ridicule. It is obvious to all and sundry that he is setting himself as he next leader of the Labour Party and will say anything to get that.

I doubt he'll do 8 years, as he will want to stand as leader at the next GE or be the leader after the GE should Labour actually stick with Corbyn until 2020. His name is Sadiq, try and get at least that right.

Seems like the London mayoral position is indeed now seen to be the stepping stone into party leader.

It's the only semi-autonomous job a politician can get, other than speaker which means you've got no chance of being party leader. The by-election is tomorrow apparently. The cut to policing probably doesn't help in these matters. Here in Wisbech everytime you see a Police car it's like spotting a fit bird in McDonalds. Edited by Stirlingsays (04 Jan 2018 5.49pm)

London lost around 1,000 cops in the year, from 31,343 to 30,379.
