Loads of callers on 5 live this morning talking about how he would represent 'the working class'.

I'm not sure I know exactly who 'the working class' are.

Not screaming and terrified.

If you can easily afford to run two nice cars and a nice roomy house with matching mortgage......I'd say you aren't working class.

For me the working class are anyone who gets out of bed in the morning and holds down a regular job. That's me and probably most of the people who have commented on this thread, however, I sure as hell don't believe that Labour represent me. To me they're the party that presided over mass immigration and the party that deliberately abandoned our borders. I hope the most unelectable candidate wins the leadership race, like Miliband did. Then hopefully they'll be in opposition for a long time to come.

Spot on Fed Up Eagle, the Labour Party has not represented the interests of the people whose forbears formed it for a long time now.

The labour party hasn't represented the working class since blair was elected leader, effectively narrowing the political spectrum by a complete lack of working class representation within british politics.

Personally, I'm always careful not to let my member get anywhere near the working class- you just don't know where they've been.

On what principles was the Labour party formed?
What are Corbyn's principles in essence?

Notice any similarities?

You bemoan Corbyn, then say that what they need is someone like him. Priceless.

Very true. When it was formed the Labour party was a good idea, and was well meaning. Unfortunately it's been hijacked by liberal idealists with an axe to grind.

Corbyn believes in higher Government spending, higher taxes, wants nuclear disarmament, more environment spending and sees no downside to mass immigration. He should be in the Green party, his ideas do not serve the ordinary working person.

What is he going to spend higher taxes on?
Sorting out the nhs. I'm happy to pay a few more quid in taxes on that.
And education, I'm quite happy for my taxes to help towards that, if it costs more to me, so be it. Tis for the greater good.
Building houses, creating jobs in the process, making sure they are sustainable and affordable.

as for green energy.
What have solar and wind power in common.?
They are free. No money is there to be made from it's extraction. No one can profit from owning the wind yet -
Anyone with half a brain would realise that plundering the earth's resources is crass stupidity in this day and age.
