Also, all of the above is bollocks. Mealy mouthed politico bollocks. Only UKIP want to debate the issues that matter to the country. The Tories don't and are actively seeking to avoid the debate.

Don't see too many UKIP debates around health, education, law and order etc etc ! In any event they can say what they want as they will never be in a position to have to keep to their promises !

Conservatives are not shying away from any debate on immigration but why narrow the debate to satisfy UKIP when there are so many other areas of policy to discuss ?

UKIP forced Cameron and the Tories to debate immigration.

Without UkIp the Tories would pursue the status quo.

Weak leader, weak policies and weak party.

Didn't see this rubbish last night, too interested in the penultimate episode of Fortitude.

However, did see some clips on the news this morning. I saw the Plaid Cymru woman trying to embarrass Nigel Farage on health tourism. Let's face it doesn't worry her too much in Wales does it, there aren't scores and scores of immigrants coming into their coastline everyday, and then using NHS services.

All whole thing is farce. No representation from Northern Ireland in this supposedly UK debate - Northern Ireland is in the UK - and there are plenty of people over here who are UK to the core.

Debate issues from Northern Ireland, like Unionist parties doing pacts so not to run in marginal seats so the Unionist vote is not split. Which is happened last time and the middle of road Alliance party got a seat.

Farage and Sturgeon are both fantastic speakers. The Welsh lady came across well,Millibands mannerisms are more like Blairs every time I see him, Cameron looked uncomfortable, not sure debating is his forte. As for the poor lady from the Greens....

I'm none the wiser where my X is going.

In actual fact I thought Farage didn't come across well with his gurning and theatricals and he did look to be a bit of a goon.

Cameron looked calm and assured and very 'Prime Ministerial' but I wouldn't say it was a 'Blockbuster' performance the likes of which he see from him at PMqs. Perhaps the format and their brief from the TV company restricted him.

Sturgeon just showed how she would dominate a weak Ed Miliband.

Total and utter hogwash.

Thank goodness Nigel was there to warn us all about all those foreigners with aids coming over here.

The NHS debate is about finance. Letting foreigners get free treatment is costing 2 billion pounds a year.

The other parties squabble over how we are going to sustain the NHS but ignore this inconvenient truth because it suits their "moral" stance.

Moral my arse, they want votes.

I definitely think that the popularity of UKIP has changed the debate on immigration. I'm not massively anti immigration myself but for Conservative supporters holding out for meaningful action on this issue for the past five years, I see how they have been completely let down and why that would lead them to look elsewhere.

So you think health tourism is acceptable? You think that people that NHS resource should go to non Britons?

No I think that Nigel is racist scum.

Not only that.... a good proportion of people arriving at A&E have injuries that have been caused directly or in-directly by too much alcohol.

We should charge people for treatment who have deliberately got sh!tfaced and caused themselves or others injury.

That's what happens in Spain/Greece. Brits have to pay for treatment if they are drunk as their travel insurance becomes invalid.

I like the NHS to be free, but not a charity for foreign health visitors or a refuge for clumsy irresponsible drunkards.

Dear "Imbored"

Personally from a dyed-in-the-wool Conservative I would have liked to have seen far firmer action a long time ago on immigration in terms of restricting benefits etc but I don't feel let down as I fully appreciate the giant strides made to turn around a dire economic situation whilst acknowledging that much more needs to be done.
