Saturday 20th February,3pm,Kick Off. Rams V's Holmesdale COYR No Palace game on,So its down the Crem we go The Rams welcome local rivals Holmesdale FC to Mayfield Stadium on the back of a good win last Saturday and keen to build on it. The 2-0 victory at Erith & Belvedere was a good all around performance and the goals from Raheem Sterling-Parker and Callum Maclean was good reward for the overall performance. The victory lifted the side to 8th in the table but it is still very tight in the middle. Holmesdale have had a difficult season and have been bottom for some weeks. They have only won twice in the league all season and the 12 points they have amassed so far sees them 10 points adrift of the next team, Tunbridge Wells, although they do have 5 games in hand. Thirteen league games since their last win could make this seem like a formality but there is no such thing in football and that last win was a comfortable 5-2 over the Rams! That should ensure there is no complacency in the side. Manager Antony Williams is without Jordan Martin due to suspension and Jack Higgins is nursing an injury that makes him doubtful. This could open up one or two opportunities for players to stake a claim for a place in the team. The weather looks set to see a rise in temperatures between now at kick-off although there is likely to be a few scattered showers too. By 3pm tomorrow the mercury should be reading 12 degrees with a westerly breeze reminding us that it still isn’t quite spring. 19th February Updated 15:56 - 19 Feb 2016 by Website Administrator

There might be the north London derby going on tomorrow but for some the big one takes place at Mayfield Stadium as the Rams host Croydon FC! This is the third time the two teams have played each other this season with each team having secured one victory. Croydon won in the League Cup at Mayfield Stadium back in October comfortably 3-0 whilst on Boxing Day it was AFC Croydon Athletic who won at the Arena by the odd goal in three. This game will amount, therefore, to the season decider. Whilst league form doesn’t have too much of an impact in local derbies, it is the Rams who have the advantage in that regard. With 10 games to go they sit in 9th place on 35 points whilst Croydon FC are in 16th place but only 7 points worse off. Croydon have had mixed form recently although they beat Deal Town 2-1 last time out. They have had good results against some of the top sides, however, with draws against both Hollands & Blair and Greenwich Borough in the league whilst also beating Greenwich Borough en route to the Semi-Finals of the Macron League Cup. The Rams are now three games without defeat having drawn at Fisher last time out. A comfortable win over Holmesdale in the last game at Mayfield Stadium will see them going into tomorrow’s game full of confidence. Antony Williams had to ring a few changes last Monday which game a couple of Youth players the chance to get some minutes in the first team. With more players available he will have a selection headache as he decides who to give the nod to. It is likely to be a drizzly day for matchday although there may be a glimpse of sunshine between the showers. Temperatures will climb up to around 5 degrees but with the northerly wind it will feel a bit colder than that. 4th March Updated 12:12 - 4 Mar 2016 by Website Administrator
