I don't think Caulker is worth all that money,we can do better centre back wise paying alot less.

For example?

for example i'd try and sign Scott Danns former centre back partner at Blackburn, forget the guys name but he's as good as Caulker and will cost alot less in transfer fee and wages.

You mean Liam Ridgewell who has gone to the USA, or Roger Johnson who has been terrible for years at Wolves and being loaned to West Ham last jan and only played 4 games?

Rather hope we do splash out thanks, if not for Caulker then for another promising defender in Jamal Lascalles, Craig Dawson or Harry Maguire however apart from Dawson they dont have PL experience like Caulker

no it's not Ridgewell or Johnson, saw him a couple of times on telly play alongside Dann, the guys a beast and looked really good.

Grant Hanley?

Thanks Eagle Lee Grant Hanley that's the one,he looked class alongside
Scott Dann at Blackburn would rather go for him.

Not saying Caulker is a bad player but at £8 million quid not for me.

I think thats a good idea, has a good pedigree. No idea how he compares to Caulker but certainly would be a lot cheaper!

I can get hacked off missing out on some players but anyone stupid enough to sign for QPR I wouldn't think was the sort we'd want at Palace. Miserable club, miserable manager, no principles anywhere in sight. Can't imagine anyone with a brain would choose that set up as an employer.

QPR have agreed a fee with Cardiff, but still down to Caulker to agree terms... so fingers crossed?
Rumours Everton are also interested.

Still looks like 'Arry' has got a decent defensive spine signed up. Frustrating. I guess its still possible CP will still meet tye release clause, but I cant see us matching wages

Apparently we are trying to hi-jack QPR bid for Steven caulker , according to a few sources down in palace news section. Although we can't offer the wages that QPR can

Cant see how that can be. Unless QPR have decided to continue to flout FFP rules and risk an even more massive fine than they are already likely to receive.
I'd imagine they have to sell to reduce their wage bill to come in to line with FFP. That does not include replacing those that go either.
We can match whatever QPR offer if both clubs are acting within the rules. If QPR aren't? Well, that's their look out but ill advised I would say

'Arry, rules? The swarmy cnut's cast-iron(at least in his own opinion) and I can't see him playing with a straight bat as far as FFP regs go. He's a past master at saying one thing and doing another so....we'll just have to wait and see what preposterous events unfold at Loftus Road.

More Teflon I'd say; there's no chance they'll comply with FFP and nothing will be done about it.

They have Offered Ferdinand £80k a week, So not looking likely they are attempting to reduce their wage bill, The FFP is a nonsence rule and very simple to avoid by getting friends to invest as Sponsors.
