If it doesn't go down to the last game of the season I'll be amazed.

We are incredibly efficient and pragmatic but that comes at a cost of quality. Southampton had good full backs and prevented us from exploiting the flanks, and after that we really looked short on ideas. Missed Chamakh a lot today.

That was awful to watch. I am used to seeing us outclassed but the lack of conviction and any real fight was surprising. We looked like a mid table championship side playing as though the result was unimportant.

7 home defeats already with Chelsea, Liverpool and Man. City to come. We're going to need a miracle to stay up. Gifted them 3 points when we should have got 1 ourselves. Got to retain better possession, 30% isn't going to cut it in this league. We have to attack at home FFS! Piss poor today and TP needs to take some blame.

I don't think it is as bad as people are making out but TP has to be more adventurous from the start against the better sides. We have picked up very little (1 point?) playing defensively against the better sides so something needs to change.

What decided the match today was a stupid error and, tbf, we have not done many of those defensively this season.

Jesus! Everyone needs to calm down! Our first hom defeat this year against a very solid side. I would prefer to be in our position rather than norwich cardiff west brom an fulham and we could beat sunderland next werk and that would see us practically safe compared to who everyone else has to play

It might not even be a last-day decider. Incredibly if we lose next week, and Cardiff and West Brom don't win (which is likely as they are away to Everton and Swansea respectively) we still won't be in the bottom three. But Sunderland will be above us with two games in hand.

We have got to take a chance and have a go at Sunderland next week, because as it stands I don't consider them as one of the three to go down.
