Nice idea, but his agent(Tony Finnigan) might have something to say about that, as a former player for some reason he has a secret hate for Palace.

Also a former team-mate of Pardew so his secret hate may have softened or intensified recently (I don't know what their relationship was like.)

I definitely remember Finnigan saying at the time Moses was pulled from the Newcastle game he will never play for Palace again, so there is/was some sort of animosity towards either the club of Jordan.

It was Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle who pulled Victor from playing that game.

From the quotes here [Link] it sounded more like finnigan was saying he'd played his last game cos he was speculating that the administrators were going to sell rather than as a "i'll make sure my client will never play for this club again" type of way.

Like I said, here's the quote from the above article, "Asked whether Moses will still be at the club once the transfer window closes on Monday, Finnegan told Sky Sports News: "No chance. No way. There's no chance of that."

Yes but you seemed to be basing a perceived animosity based on that one quote. If you read the rest of the quotes from the same interview he backs up the reasoning for what he said with his observations that the administrators pulled VM from the Newcastle game to protect their most saleable asset in anticipation for an imminent sale.

In case you missed the rest of em he said:

"If you're pulled out of a match, and that's your job, you're pulled out for a reason. They're going to be selling."

"Victor was stunned by the news, he was getting ready to play, but he's one of the most saleable assets in the squad so it's obviously been done to protect him"

"It means a deal is probably imminent with regards to him being sold."

Now that doesn't really scream animosity to the club at all if you ask me. Just an agent asked about his clients future and based on what he sees going on at the club and that he was confidant that a deal for VM was all but guaranteed.

My perception of Tony Finnigan is actually the opposite....he has a huge soft spot for Palace....

ya the perception that he doenst like palace seems to be based on people jumping on a quote completely out of context. I'd imagine as an agent he doent give a dam about the club so long as he's getting paid.

At risk of sounding like a name dropper, I had the priveledge of chatting to Victor on the night of the game before the match and he had already been in talks with clubs. It wasn't a last ditch thing and him not playing in the Newcastle match had been planned for a while.

I see Victor Moses as playing the role Rooney plays.

I think his best position is through the middle. Technically he is probably one of the best Palace players ive seen. Left foot, right foot.

He'd be a massive signing for us. I think id cry for joy if he came back!

I'd love to have him back and I think the very fact that he hasn't pulled up trees at other clubs is why we could get him, I think the VicMo would suit our current style and would love it to be in the Red and Blue in our current state of stability too !

It's be some foursome to have for rotation for the wide midfield slots !

So why would we want him?

Good shout, we do need cover in the wide areas, imaging if Bolasie got injured for a long time. Can also play behind the striker, very good in the air for a short player too. 8m is a lot though!

This would be the same emotions I had when we re-signed wilf. Pure joy mixed with disbelief.
