You're a cheap date, mate. Send us all a postcard lauding it, calling everyone muppets with your £180.

Charlie, hope Barnsley give you your goal. About 25 plus injury time to get it. Can't believe Sheff Utd's p1ss poor chance creation with nearly 70% possession but that's having a 4 team acca. Going with a 2 or 3 result on Spurs, West Brom, Arse next. Swansea are good value but Spurs are aiming for top 4. A spread on the acca might be worth a dabble, nothing more. It's not how much you put on which is important, it's a numbers game. Knowledge or good gut feeling is always better than impulse. Always bewilders me when people say what they're betting on followed by, 'returns £xxx.' It's not really the point to others and not the point if you keep in mind your previous bets. Unless of course you delete them from memory, therefore pointless betting more than a fiver anyway.
Luckily I backed the no at 11/10 and had 20 quid on it. Which at least breaks me even for the day. I see, perhaps better to stick to a treble at most with the winners.

That should cover all the food and drink. Sorry if I sounded arrogant, i'd be happier if we all won and I was trying to put people off Wigan.

Don't see much tempting in the Premier League. Teams are hitting form although you don't expect them to keep it. Tonight (Fri): 1) Hull win 6/4 at Derby (derby have plenty of injuries) (Sat): 4) Birm City win 5/4 v Burnley (Sun): 9) Man Utd win 4/7 at Swansea Obviously need to whittle this down a lot but quite fancy 5,6,7,8 (Palace, Coventry, Rotherham, Port Vale) and also 1 (Hull). 3 away wins tonight isn't very likely. Might do a double and a treble. Edited by Rudi Hedman (21 Dec 2012 3.29pm)

Just thought I'd say..... Last season best return by far to level stakes was Wigan out of the entire 92 clubs. They come up when least expected.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Palace and Man City double is the standout bet this weekend. Evens.

I always make money from this stage of the season onwards by backing teams that haven't drawn yet to do so. i.e Wolves haven't drawn away yet this season, Leyton Orient haven't drawn at home yet etc. Only a few left (including Cardiff at home....who are they playing at their place next??!!). Rather than just back the draw, do correct scores from 0-0 through to 3-3. If you're lucky, as I was a couple of times last season, the 3-3 pays around 50-1 rather than the normal 5-2 or so. 1-1's a bugger though. Alternatively, for three bets, cover the HT/FT combos. Last week Walsall/Yeovil paid 16-1 Walsall HT FT draw.

This week's bets: single on Huddersfield (just to put the mockers on it, as usual) and a 100/1 acca on : Didn't put my customary 0-0 on for home games I'm attending though (bore draw insurance), so expect it to come in!

Right - Weekend Banker this weekend is.... Brentford to beat Stevenage - Weekend Banker Brentford have the strongest home form and they don't lose while Stevenage's early season form has totally evaporated. I'm going to lump on this single....4/5
