Thanks for coming on Steve, especially after today's events that takes a special kind of character so well done.

1. What is your ambition for the rest of the season now compared to what it was at the begining of the season

2. What happens if we stay up/ go down what will be the view from the board on the future

3. Is the Marrow deal done and are there any targets still on the radar before the managers decided

4. A cheeky question who is on the shortlist

Just also wanted to ask, it seems there is alot of speculation over Chris Hughton, but lets just presume for a moment that he was chosen as manager do you think he is very inexperienced to take up the post, considering the team he adopted at Newcastle was in essence a Premiership side in the Championship season and therefore destined to go back up, where as Palace at present are a completely different situation??

He was assistant a Newcastle for years and gained alot of experience. He then was appointed manager above others and reunited the club, taking them forward. He should never have been sacked! He's available and should be given some serious consideration as i believe he will bring out alot in our players. A good man manager

Not Hughton please.

Anyone could have got that Newcastle team promoted last year.

I also don't think he is the man for a relegation fight.

Stevie Coppell to come back and do what he does best.

Or Sean O'Driscoll. He'll be able to get the team playing proper football.

HI

If this decision was 100% for footballing reasons,
does this mean you are looking for the new man to
play a more direct game? As I for one think it's
been a breath of fresh air watching the passing game at Selhurst, although I understand results are results.

Steve, Firstly just to echo some other comments It's brilliant that you're interacting with us online - how many other clubs can say the same <none> I'm sure it was a really tough decision today but I think the majority of Palace fans will agree that it was time for GB to move on.

If there's any chance of getting Chris Hughton - that would be an absolute masterstoke. Someone with some Passion and who can bring out the best of the fantastic young talent at the club.

My son and I were there today and we were gutted - first time i've left a game with 5 mins to play
but in typical Palace fashion - can't wait for Monday and we'll be cheering Dougie and the boys on as always

Keep up the good work

Do you sometimes wish you hadn't bought the club as when situations like our poor form recently arise you have to listen to fans moaning and think why did I bother?

As others have said thank you for everything that you do for us, we hope you know that although we comment on most things to do with Palace we are behind you and comment and question because that is the nature of football fans.

I love every minute of running this club and genuinely think it’s a privilege to do so

I love you more every minute!!

In the summer it was clear you were only considering managers who were free and available. Is this still the case, or would you approach another club, with a view to paying compensation - if you believed it was the right man?

happy new year!

Steve how has the sacking gone down with the players?

Lets move forward and not back. Coppell is a palace legend but not a permanent manager. Lets move forward and not back in time

Steve - got to say how appreciative as a fan I am that you take the time out to talk to us..makes us feel part of the club that you obviously (like the rest of us ) are very passionate about.
The decision was the right one and every supporter on here wants Palace to succeed and if that means a new manager so be it !

Your honesty with us and integrity is refreshing and I am sure the next manager will do the job and rally the team and get the points we need...As fans we will get behind the team as you have got behind the club !!
