As a long time supporter i just wondered if asked what was Palace's best ever turn out for numbers and atmophere what game would it be? I would have to go for either :- United away when we were both 10 games unbeaten in the league and lost 2-0 8,000 travelled up after the cup final or Spurs away when we lost 4-0 in 1987 in the fa cup,i remember my Spurs mate saying we were the only team that season to take as many fans as Arsenal! Shame that we always seem to get done when good numbers turn out! GT

As i'm only a young'en my best away match was Watford last season, it was my first proper away match (apart from wimbledon) and the atmosphere was brillianty, shame about the result though

Man City away when we drew 1-1 and Wright got our goal. The 3-1 win and 1-0 win at Watford in the days of terracing behind the goal Various games at QPR, including the first game of the 1989-90 season

I'll always remember Luton in the early eighties, just coz it was a mad day. Me and my mates got there late and got ambushed in town. Another Palace fan (Can't remember his name) had earlier got stabbed in town, he went and discharged himself from hospital and made it to the ground by half-time (to a standing ovation from the Palace boys), then, after the game we got done below an underpass with a hale of bricks from above and the bloke who'd earlier got stabbed went and got a bleedin' brick on his head, the poor bugger was sparko! Mad days!

The noise generated by the Palace fans all game was unbelievable, it felt like the whole crowd was Palace. For spirit in the face of adversity, when we lost 9-0 to the w***ers has got to be worth a mention.

The Q.P.R Q/final In 1982 was superb, again apart from the result,we seemed to pack 1000's Into their place for that one.

I even remember the under-pass you're talking about, because we thought 'sod that' and walked across a big metal walk way over the carridgeway Instead, and ended up getting chased across!
