These fox hunters won't go quietly in to the night will they? It's quite surprised me the ferocity of the protests, some skirmishes and 5 guys getting into the House of Commons. Fathers for Justice I can understand but some posh people who can't kill a few foxes anymore? Why do they care that much? Police were showing no mercy either, cracking plenty of skulls by the looks of things. Anyone got any opinions? Or is this as boring a thread as I fear it might be?

Banning fox hunting ain't exactly the most urgent of government policies is it? Surely there are just a few more important things to worry about. Blair just sees it as a vote winner. I hate that smarmy c***. Headline in last nights paper about he nearly quit due to family pressures. Well nearly ain't good enough is it. Why tell us that he nearly quit? Not after sympathy surely?

I'm all for fox hunting. Blair will do what he always does with the hunting vote and say nothing and stay in the middle. Typical 'yes' man

people are worried they'll lose their jobs/livelihood. What a dude!! EXACTLY!! Couldnt of put it better myself, the working class had to suffer their job!! Not a flipping sick hobby, their JOB!!! Wheteher it was, as you said, the fishing coal or car industry, and when that happened, the upper class didnt give two squits of pi*s, well now its their turn, lets see how they like it, stuck up tw*ts

I think the fox hunting thing was ill though thru, it just goes to show what you can stick in your manifesto when you're in oposition..... I'm obviously not supporting inhumane treatment of animals but FAR too much parliamentary time has been spent on this cr*p!

I was quite surprised to see the scenes on the news tonight, some of the stuck up rebels looked as if they'd come for the Millwall game tomorrow night. I'm for the ban, I think the so called sport is now out dated and people need to move on.

Didn't see the Hooray Henry's helping the miners against pit closures or stopping the car plant's being shut.

Not sure about fox hunting, but Water Polo should certainly be banned.

Leave them fox hunt, it doesn't interfere with our lives in the city! Seems like some of the rent-a-mob turned up to this for a ruck with the OB though. I'd rather tax the upper class more instead. Edited by Penge Eagle (15 Sep 2004 11:40pm)

Some amazing insights into humanity occured today thanks to the Fox Hunting debate. A well mannered woman on a horse was pleeing for Fox Hunting to be kept legal on the grounds that: "It's a lovely way to spend time with the family". I pictured her wealthy family giggling with delight and patting each other on the back while their pack of hungry hounds tears the helpless fox limb from limb. Secondly the baying mob in London. They were protesting against the ban also and venting their anger. What savages, whipped into a frenzy over the loss of the right to tear an animal to shreds. Edited by Matt_Hep (15 Sep 2004 11:47pm)
