Latest rumours are suggesting Sam wants out if he's not going to be Number 1 keeper. I have to confess, I don't see how we can keep two England keepers and keep them both happy. Whilst many fans seem to prefer Sam over Dean, I sense that the club want Dean to be the long term answer having given him a five year contract.

If I were Sam I'd want out, too. I prefer Sam as starter because of his command of the area and distribution of the ball, but Henderson is a good keeper, too. It's crazy that we have two England GK's on our squad.

It wouldn't surprise me if Palace were prepared to sell Sam for a decent price and say bring in the lad from Plymouth.

I find out fans views of keepers to be fascinating as far more than on any other position we have such favourites that where one keeper can do no wrong another can get nothing right. We have two of the best English keepers in the country and right now it seems Deano is top dog. Can we keep them both probably not, so sell one for decent money and do what Burnley did for a while, seemingly unearth a constant stream of young prospects. Long term it’s not sustainable to keep both players happy when both clearly want to be first choice.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
