I could see JRS going (loan more likely) and possibly Ayew if he wants first team football and if we can realise some value.
This may well mean the addition of a further forward otherwise we could be short of options.
There’s also uncertainty around when Franca will be fit .
He hasn’t had a proper pre- season after his operation and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he missed at least the first weeks of the new season.

I hope Ayew doesn’t go. He’s been a loyal servant to the club and much used particularly when we pick up an injury or two which is inevitable. He can also play in many areas.

His experience, trickery and ability to draw fouls are all huge assets. He also has a few goals in him. What’s not to like.

I agree we need to sign another wing-back as cover and competition for Mitchell.

I am really hoping Franca makes a full and good recovery. He was very expensive for what he was/is/might be. On the odd occasion he played, he looked like he had potential.

Are we done?

Well, all we've actually done so far is replace 3 of the 4 players who have left (Riad, Kamada and Sarr for Tomkins, Riedewald Ferguson and Olise).

We still have 2 spaces if we want a full squad complement of 25. I don't think we're done. We must still have funds from the Olise deal plus whatever else had been earmarked for this window. This doesn't mean we'll spend the money, but if the right player becomes available...

It will be interesting to see if the Wesley rumour has legs, especially given the claim that we've submitted a bid of Franca proportions for this young South American left winger.

We obviously don’t want to spend money just because we have it but…

hopefully Freedman will work his magic again by spotting a young hidden gem in a lower division.

Such players must be itching to play for us as we’ve proved we’re the best launch pad to international stardom. What a persuasive selling point.
