Apparently we are after Ismaila Sarr again. Proven at Premier League level and we seem to of always kept tabs on him. Freedman is a big fan. Thoughts? Attachment: 3ee58124bbad15791c588cf2332e52d62874ef3a.jpg (368.02Kb)

I wonder if this is agent talk. He's kinda flopped at Marseilles so they want their money back. 3/4 years ago he was a good player but Watford fans will probably say they were happy to sell him. At £20m it's not worth it.

He was impressive when he first arrived on the scene with Watford but soon faded, we seem to get linked with him almost every season at some point in time with very little seeming to come of it beyond the paper talk. I would have been keen on him a few years ago but much less so now.

I would have been keen on him a few years ago but much less so now. At Watford I noticed a player who often played on the periphery, going missing in a number of encounters, and the mood music was that he does not turn up every game. He undoubtably is fleet of foot and Xisco Munoz his manager at Watford asserted that he was a top player when afforded space, accordingly they used to plan how to get the ball to Sarr with the player in a good body shape to attack the space. I agree with your assertion apropos being linked to the player on a regular basis. Edited by Willo (08 Jul 2024 8.05am)

I agree with this assessment and think Sarr is a player capable of very good moments as opposed to being a very good player. Originally posted by Willo

When we were playing with proper wingers and looked to counter I was a big supporter of signing Sarr as he is insanely quick; however, does he fit in OG's system? If he played as a striker possibly. I can't see this one having legs, but who knows.

Wouldn't be a summer transfer window without us being linked to the new David Nugent.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

As for space, that's one entity you don't get much of in the PL!

Swap with Edouard involved would be OK.
