I doubt we'll get all three, but would love it if there were some truth in the Smith-Rowe rumour. Cracking player and he's proven that he's a bona fide Premier League player.

There were rumours a little while ago about Reese Nelson? The one I'd like to see reignite is Eddie Nketiah who would add something to our attack, especially if Edouard moves on?

Any of my concerns about departures is alleviated by the fact it looks as though we very much have plans of our own. Get them in and under Glanser I have confidence we'll be fine.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Smith-Rowe is a good player but he can't command a starting slot in a PL team. Last season he got just 3 PL starts (against Sheff U, Forest and Luton - Arteta obviously doesn't trust him against any clubs better than those) and 10 sub appearances for a total of just 355 mins and, in my book that means he can't be worth what Arsenal want for him. My figures are as per Transfermarkt who value the player at €22m which is the most I'd want to pay for him.

Any other interest (and not just stuff fed by his agent)? If we are the only suitors, could we get him at half that price? Otherwise, good luck to the money bags club willing to pay the asking price. BTW, he is precisely the type of player we should be targeting, even though he has not had the chance to cut through into a very good Arsenal team. Imagine him playing week in week out for us.

Considering the transfer fees at the moment, 35m is not bad price at all. My concern would be his fitness, he was out for a long time recently. Cracking player though.

Agreed. Just because we are due to get a £50m fee for Olise doesn't mean that Dougie is suddenly going to splash out more than necessary for a player. Maybe a couple of years ago, but ESM has seemingly been going backwards at Arsenal. He needs out, and they obviously don't want him. c.£20m seams a much more reasonable figure

The Smith-Rowe of 2 seasons ago, looked like he would be a £35m player. But then again he looked like he would be a regular starter. However, he's been injury hit and can't get in the side now fit again. I'd say he's come down in value in the last 2 years - probably £20m perhaps £25m providing he can make x amount of appearances. Arsenal (like the bin dippers) seem to over value their players who aren't deemed good enough. The £40M or whatever quoted for Nketiah was stupid money. Let them rot on the bench, until they are a fair price.
