Sideways and backwards, slow as you like. Let the other team get back in shape. Nick a goal and sit back. Two peas in a pod. So glad we don't have to watch this nonsense anymore at Selhurst. Successful teams in the Prem ping the ball about quickly, one and two touch. Southgate and Roy so out of date with their methods. England will win nothing with Southgate in charge.

Don't worry. Southgate will be our next manager when it inevitably goes tits up with Glasner.

After what we all endured last season and the change when OG came in with the same players, I am now 100% convinced it is the manager that has been the problem. It is scary how similar Roy and Gareth are. Nice blokes but you don’t want them (mis)managing your team.

Rubbing salt in the wounds, according to LBC this morning,Southgate is the highest paid Manager in the tournament on £100,000 per week( for serving up this dross!!) Edited by Jacey (21 Jun 2024 8.58am) Southgate is on the end of unrelenting invective, subjected to disobliging comments.Thrown in the pestle and mortar and pummelled. I suspect his reign as England manager will be concluded sooner rather than later. Edited by Willo (21 Jun 2024 9.18am)

doesnt help that he has turned into Roy MK2. Why do we get coaches who try to force the proverbial square peg into a round hole?
Sometimes I set out for Ludlow |

I have been refusing to go along with the theory that Southgate is following similar coaching patterns to those adopted by Roy, but after last night's dismal performance I have to admit their styles are remarkably aligned. Ollie showed us what modern football should look like and we adore him for it. Southgate gives no impression of a modern day football coach. His techniques are outdated, the team are more inclined to defend than attack and he shows no signs of a 'plan B'. To think he is the highest paid is an embarrassment and, I agree with Willo, he'll be gone after our campaign is over.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Totally agree and with virtually the same group of players,it was an absolute joy to witness what a modern, forward thinking coach, Glasner, could achieve.
