normal service has been resumed.

Sadiq Khan ( the Liverpool supporting London Mayor from Tooting ) is redirecting the sewers from Upper Norwood to send all Brown Trouts down into the sea via Brighton.

Kayla did Anfield & Old Trafford

To be honest I think it means more to them than it does us .Its a made up rivalry by two Spurs players that never got on .

I don't celebrate being above Brighton anymore than I did when we finished above Chelsea , they are irrelevant

So the weed were 17 points and plus 26 goals infront of us 12 games ago. We finished 1 point in front and plus goals in front.
Now that fact just makes me smile

No rivalry, less point.

I'd like Millwall to come up so we can batter them and also finish higher.

Isn't it great living in their minds rent free? Football is all about the journey for me, along the way it's good to get under peoples skin.

For me it’s a minor part of the sheer joy of our recent turnaround.

I’m happy with having a keen rivalry with B&HA but feel the hatred thing is old hat and undignified.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

This whole Palace / Brighton rivalry thing started over a spat between managers some 50 odd years ago, a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then, I personally don't think of Brighton at all other than the 2 weekends a season that both teams meet.

Maybe it would be different if I lived down there, in amongst it & had to put us with seeing Tesco bag shirts everywhere ?

My mate saw someone with a Brighton shirt in the gym - obviously he stayed well clear. I saw a girl with a Brighton scarf on the bus - they get everywhere. Met two people with Palace shirts over the same time frame - just to balance it out.

I was actually around when it started and hated Mullery Ward, Horton and Foster etc, but since the early 80’s it’s died off. Younger fans just hate them because it’s the done thing, all fans have to have rivals and someone to hate. Personally i hate Man Utd and Chelsea more now, I don’t know any weed fans and I just end up wanting them to lose and want to finish above them because it’s the done thing as a palace fan

Rivalries are part of the fun of football. I don't hate Brighton supporters on a personal level because that would be absurd, but I hate losing to them. I worked for Amex for a decade though, so I probably went through more pain than many!

I remember meeting an arrogant Gus Poyet and him telling us that he was destined for bigger things. I also used to get offered tickets to the Amex Stadium which I always turned down. I just couldn't bring myself to go there. My one act of defiance was to proudly use my 93/94 Championship Winners mug in the office. When we beat them in the play-offs I wore my Palace shirt under my work shirt and flashed the colours every time I walked past one of my Brighton supporting colleagues.

I have to admit, I have also told my daughter that my one rule is she can't marry a Brighton supporter. Thankfully this season she has embraced the Palace way, so I don't think that will be a problem.
