given the sad passing of Bernard Hill, it raised the memory of Yosser Hughes. A fantastic and entertaining nutter. Literally.

and so, what others ? Plus your favourite bits of their performances......

Frank Begbie, Robert Carlyle, Trainspotting. Flinging the heavy Tankard over the balcony in the pub.

Chopper, Eric Bana, Australian psycho. Always bursting out crying or suffering mad remorse just after another brutal unjustified assault.

And my favourite : Roger Moore, James Bond ( 58 ) 'a view to a kill'. Looking about as hard as a Lemon Merange Pie to cure a hangover after a week on the p1.ss with 60 Rothmans a day. Pulling a Miss Universe while cracking State-of-the-Art Cold War Cryptography. Flying a robbed F16 and beating the 5 top guns chasing after him. Stockwell's finest Hard man.

What others ? the more theatrical the better.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

George Peppard punching people as Hannibal Smith. Like watching Biden walking up a flight of stairs. But pity the fools trying to get Mr T BA on a plane. All of the original A-Team.
Lee Majors pretending not to have cost much.
A shout out to the Sonic Screwdriver in Dr Who. Surely the toughest piece of kit anywhere. The armed forces certainly looked into it. I wonder what the new Doctor will do with it?

Joe Pesci scares the pants off me. He always seems slightly deranged, entirely unpredictable and extremely dangerous in almost every one of his films.

The scene in Casino where he plays Nicky Santoro and squeezes a guy's head in a vice till his eyes popped out is a classic example of Pesci at his most sinister.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I have now, thanks. I'm sure he's the same in life as he is on film. A real head case.

Lee Van Cleef for me.

Was watching end of Good the Bad and the Ugly with the amazing 3-way face-off and seeing Lee's missing fingertip, hovering over his pistol, then a flash of his 'angel eyes' as he decides who to shoot...superb acting and fast editing.

Jonathan Banks from Breaking Bad and Beverley Hills Cop always had that dead-eyed stare which was menacing and tough.
