Is it just me or does anybody else find it madness that they shoe horn in international friendlies just as teams are in the meat of the season. Half the players are fighting for titles or champions league and some fighting for there league survival.

We’ve now likely lost our best keeper. Genius.

You couldn’t make this s*** up

Why not play qualifiers at the end of a season when there is no tournament, like a mini qualifying tournament. We would all be interested then. The season could finish earlier as we wouldn’t have to stop in sept, oct, nov and march for pointless games. Meaning players would actually get a break before back to training pre season.

Absolutely. However what do you expect of FIFA, EUFA the FA et al? I think their priorities have been all too clear for many years.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Have to be honest. I quite enjoyed a few weeks break from palace this time around.

Plus this one gave glasner a mini mid "pre" season with the players to get his ideas across.

Apparently just a minor elbow injury so hopefully not to much of an issue

Been saying this for a while. 3 or 4 breaks before Christmas completely mucking up the domestic season.

They don't have to reduce the games just reduce the breaks. Let them have time off around Jan and Feb to coincide with AFCON.

Johnstone was injured in training. Sounds like a typical fragile Palace player 23/24 season injury. Can’t really blame England for that. But yes I agree these games have little interest.

Looks like may not play again this season. Got injured training with England when he was only a bench warmer anyway. Internationals really f***ed us thus season
My sons comment at bottom says it all

I felt similarly.

I am hoping Johnstone's 'injury' is an instance where he felt the slightest knock and therefore returning to club to be fit for the remainder of the PL was a priority over warming a bench for an int'l friendly.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Nothing ever good comes out of International games for clubs. I assume the Arsenal players Saka, Jesus and Martinelli will all be playing this weekend, after withdrawing with injuries, they don’t want to jeopardise the title run in.

They should be stopped from playing this weekend

I see Wharton called up to U21s. I wouldn't let any of our star players play U21s at all. If they really want to, I'd get in touch and limit them to a half. If they're not happy with that, I would think we'd be best off to withdraw them. There are no positives to our first team players in the U21s. We absolutely have to refuse this with Olise also - he's miles above that standard, as is Wharton.

Its a key part of his progression, not sure whey we should stand in the way of that. Next stop England team, and then we have doubled our money
