If there are some on here who aren't already aware, the HF are running a fundraiser for flags across the entire Holmesdale, which I think is important for our atmosphere, pride and identify as a club and a fanbase so I thought I'd share it on here.

As stated on the fundraiser: "The vision is to have buckets placed outside each block allowing all supporters to grab a flag as they enter the stand and wave throughout the game.

Let's allow the Holmesdale to realise its potential and remind the rest of the world what our club is famous for."

Please don't feel you must but all donations are hugely appreciated and go towards support for the team, lets take Selhurst to a new level and Restore the Holmesdale.

What about the rest of us supporters & £4k?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

No thanks , the last thing I want is getting poked in the eye by some muppet waving a little flag . Our club is not famous , not even in London let alone the World , hardly anyone would have heard of us .
But anyway good luck

The problem I have with this is whether it will look like the Watford or Fulham attempts with the flags being of similar design and size, and therefore looking a bit contrived.
The difference that the HF have about them is that the flags vary in design, size and message. Repeat that, and yes it will look fantastic; uniform designs being handed out; not such a great idea.

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

I think give the “Holmesdale” Fanatics have been supporting from the holmesdale for nearly 20 years, it’s not unreasonable that that is the first stand, presuming enough is raised for the flags then hopefully then the atmosphere can be taken to an even greater level with further steps, possible in other stands. I’m not close to the project but I’m guessing the flags will cost around the target goal in the fundraiser, I’ll attach an image of what I’m guessing the hopeful outcome will be if this goes to plan and the whole banner situation is sorted.

I think that’s a very negative way to view proactive support for Palace we all go to selhurst for the same goal. No one’s forcing you to pick up a flag but many might want to. I’d also argue we are a well known club now in London and globally. Palace fans are often used as Pr or marketing for the club

Very nice, but they are not the 50p hand flags you are going to put on the lower holmedale seats.

I remember before the stand was there, looking in awe at the fans in those days with their claret, blue and black flags, some guy in a funny hat with a bird stuck on it, and Selhurst the St. Bernard dog. Marvellous times!

I expect it will be like in the section, with varied designs on smaller red and blue flags distributed and some of the bigger designs that have been seen all across the lower and at Wembley in previous seasons mixed in and left around and outside each block for people to wave throughout the game
