Noticed Ambrose on Sky today as a pundit - he's often on. And of course, Clinton O'Morrison on the regular panel. I may even have not thought of others. I won't say Ian Wright as he clearly doesn't rate is.
I was thinking - there are no Burnley stalwarts, no Bournemouth stalwarts, no Forest stalwarts - plenty of clubs not represented whatsoever, not regularly anyhow. So are we actually over-represented on Sky anyway? Despite obviously usually not exactly being first choice for match of the day.
Should we be proud? Have to say I've a lot of time for Clinton and Ambrose. Clinton always makes me laugh. One of the few parts of Soccer Saturday that's fun anymore. He obviously cares how we do.

Ian Wright played for both Nottm F and Burnley too! Nottm F do have Michael Dawson as pundit.

There was a time when we had Salako, Dowie, Coleman, Houghton, Bright, Wright and a few others too.

Makes a pleasant change from that over excited Paul Merson.

He is cynical, very loud and incapable of pronouncing 'difficult' names correctly.

Is hyper when reporting, everything is 'unbelievable' and he gets 'game over' in often prematurely.

Compare and contrast with Sue Smith - a model of conciseness.

but Sky Sports News has gone downhill since the loss of Jeff Stelling and the inimitable Bianca Westwood.

Fings ain't wot they used to be ...

My guilty pleasure was Kirsty Gallagher. Some woman.

Simon Jordan on Talk sport too. Glen Murray and Android Townsend are regular pundits too.

That was auto-correct but it's pretty apt so I left it in.

Doesn't Jobi McAnuff get a run out too? We've certainly got a good contingent but it doesn't beat Aki Riihilahti writing for The Times, for me!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Obviously loads I didn't think of. Baby face Salako from the match reports was one. He looks like he could get on the pitch and play. He must be fifty odd.

Sadly enough though I dont suppose he can run anymore.
What a great player he was. And also a very nice person.

I'm pretty sure I've also seen young Steve Coppell doing the occasional spot of punditry too.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Sky Sports News is awful now in my opinion.

Jeff Stelling was absolutely brilliant for so many years and although you could look at his panel of Merson, Phil Thompson, Charlie Nicholas and Le Tissier and criticise them individually, they were clearly all mates and there was great camaraderie between them.

If anything the pundits and people like Chris Kamara getting things wrong was half the appeal of the show with Jeff taking the piss out of them. It was great Saturday afternoon entertainment.

After they dispensed with that panel and brought in the new lot, it became no better than the BBC equivalent to be honest and I stopped watching.

Noticed now when I watch it during the week as well, half of the guests are random football influencers and people from fan channels who I've never heard of. Not keen.

I don't mind people like Clinton and Dawson but now really you're only watching for score updates rather than the wider entertainment that there was before.

Geoff and Kammi were on Worlds Most dangerous Roads last night on Dave......
A very moving but funny episode.

I think most people - in fact everyone - would agree.
