Rather hoping that injuries to 3 of our better players will put off top 6 clubs from deciding they will simply 'have them' in the summer transfer window. Would be nice to see what they can do with a manager interested in winning games.

Well Doucoure isn't going to go 3 months after signing a new five year contract.

Olise is still an absolute snip at the reported £60m release clause in his new contract and you'd imagine most of the big clubs will trigger it this summer. So if he wants to go, he'll go.

Guehi only has two years left on his deal and it's been reported that there's a low chance that he'll renew. So we'd probably need to sell him this summer if we're going to get a good fee.

To be honest it would be awful to lose them both but if we can get £120m for the pair and invest most of it in the squad, we could end up stronger overall.

Do we want to put them off? in relation, especially about Olise, i would think the prudent thing is to get him fit for sale in the summer, similar but not as much with Guehi, i would rather keep Eze, Andersen and Doucoure, and have 100m to invest, than 1 or two injurie prone players.

We have had successive seasons where players have been strongly linked with moves "up" and the media have reported it as a fait accompli. Thus, the current click bait suggests a bidding war among the rich clubs for our best talent. Yet, the last poach we had was AWB 5 years ago (who our players will see being offloaded to the highest bidder this very summer).

Top 6 will at least have to consider the injuries these players have suffered this season and that may deter and/or reduce the price to one we are better able to resist.

In short, we may not want to sell, they may not want to buy, and the players may not want to go.

The latter is more likely to be the case if the new regime starts to present our club as not lower table whipping boys but a team on the rise.

Finally, I know I have said this before but I get the feeling Palace are a nice team to work for. There is always more money elsewhere, but with us you get a loyal employer - won't get that at Chelsea - stability, London living, and still a lot of money.

Completely agree, selling them both if they choose to leave will allow an enormous improvement of the squad. Look at how much Anderson and Guehi cost, selling Guehi we could potentially buy 3 players.

I don’t want to see either leave and I think they would develop a lot under Glasner but so long as half or more of the money is reinvested then we can handle it. I don’t know if we have any FFP risks we need to cover?

Sell them, buy no one, do the stand and play Burnley every week.

Like it or not, selling is a part of the game.

We need to take the position that we don't want to lose our best players, but will let them go for an offer we cant resist.

Holding players against their will, or past the most lucrative time to cash in isn't great.

We end up losing players for free, and it will harm our talent attraction if we have a reputation for trapping players.

At present we are a seriously attractive option for a young superstar in the championship.

Yes I agree with this. Now Glasner is here he will know of players that can strengthen our side in Germany. If him and Dougie can reach agreement or should I say compliment one another then a couple of high value sales will provide a decent war chest to help complete our team.

It will be interesting to see how Dougie and OG get on.

The summer transfer will be very different from the past, clubs are wary of the sanctions issued to Everton and potentially a few more. The January market had us as the biggest spenders and spend overall drastically down on previous windows.
We aren’t going to get big money for any of our players, Guehi will go as he won’t sign a new contract.

Is that what we're doing?

It’s a business at the end of the day and it selling olise and geuhi in the summer for top money would be good business. Re invest and in the long term we will be better off. One day we will have a club that players will want to stay long term. We messed up with zaha. Let’s not make that mistake again.

How exactly? He was valuable as a player on the field. His monetary value was secondary to our survival.
For a club like ours, having quality on the field will always trump money in the bank. People don't pay to see assets, they pay to watch good footballers.
