I get more and more convinced that Parish has become a Puppet chairman and Textor is pulling the strings, with Parish having no say on proceedings.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Well, Textor isn't making a good job of it. Free the Parish one.

No, he isnt, but nobody is, i think Textor can scrape 51% of shares, whether that wins it with the 50/50 votes shambles, who knows

I sense the situation is a bit more nuanced than Textor now calling all the shots.
There seems to have been a collective Board view that something needed to be done given the results/risk of relegation/general malaise as expressed by fans. Parish seemed to be slower/more cautious coming to that view than certainly Textor and who really knows re Harris and Blitzer.
If reports are true, the "first choice" seemed to be McKenna but its hardly surprising that didn't go far when they are in the middle of a promotion campaign.
Hence, that is perhaps how Glasner came back on the radar and maybe Textor pushed him forward given he had presumably met him vis a vis the Lyon role. However, as things are currently structured at Board level, I would be very surprised if Parish (and indeed Freedman) endorsed someone they were uncomfortable with.
No one really knows the situation vis a vis Textor and Parish aside from reports of tension. However, it doesn't necessarily follow that he is now pulling all the strings as, for example, decisions around the big issues such as the Coach and the main stand, would surely have to have collective buy in given the financial ramifications involved.

I think the very fact you can ask the question, and that it's an entirely legitimate question, speaks volumes to the club's challenges.

Was he a Textor/Parish signing?
Was he a Textor/Parish firing/hiring?

It gives credibility to complaint of unclear strategic thinking, not least because it's hard to escape the impression they have differing approaches.

For the record, more influence, yes; outright control, no way. That's my take.

But it's all supposition.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Does it matter?

Whoever's idea it was he wouldn't be appointed without Parish's blessing

You make a bold statement but don't give us the reasons for your assumptions. Speculation and guesswork?

I think it's probably fair to say that the Franca and O'Brien deals were Textor. What that means overall I couldn't say.

And this is the problem... it's not Parish FC.

We need one person calling the shots...

I know voting rights are not in line with shareholdings in that Parish holds more voting rights as a percentage than shares. So with his ten percent, Franca 5% and Texter 45%, between them they will have controlling rights.
You can see why Harris + Blitzer want to sell. But their shares carry no weight.
I personally think they all want Glasner. Just need to be bold now and push on.
Make Glasner official. Unless Roy is sedated, he will know. Such is the power of the internet.
