How did everyone feel about the HF banners last night ?

What's the point in security and getting frisked when it's that easy to smuggle in a dozen or so flares ?

Do the HF represent your views ?

Discuss.

I'm so Palace I don't even know it

They are an annoying bunch of attention seekers, and an embarrassment to the club.
Parish panders to their every whim for some mysterious reason.
Don't they get frisked like everyone else ?
I'm sure if I turned up at the turnstile and was found in possession of a flare, they wouldn't let me in, or at the very least confiscate the flare.

Personally I think it enhances the atmosphere. Providing the flares are contained within a predetermined area, I have no problem with it.

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

I don't mind them, they add a bit of atmosphere. I remember the old days when a small section of the Arthur wait enclosure used to sing "give me a p, give me a a ect" it's a lot better than that

Security is a joke walking into the stadium. Only time I have ever been searched properly is at away games.

It does tickle me. Last night the queues outside the Holmesdale took ages to go down because of the frisking. They go through the motions of patting everyone down, and obviously don't know what they're feeling when coming across something in your pocket. It could be absolutely anything but they just wave you in.
What a waste of time.

I hate to see flares at football grounds. Most of these fanatics are too young to remember the 65 killed and over 250 injured in the Bradford stadium fire and we don’t want that happening again.

The problem is with smuggling them in the ground is they prob put them on kids as they don’t get searched
The banners last night was pathetic considering the game hadn’t started and players seeing that must think WTF
As regards parish didn’t he bend over backwards for these guys with moving people out their seats who had been there a long time to accommodate them
Well that’s backfired big time

As another poster recently mentioned on another thread, the banners have served their purpose. Once, twice, is fine (even if you don't agree with them) but from this point on they're only hurting the teams spirit and chance of survival.

I think it was a secret ploy by the board to distract the rest of the ground to look at the fanatics and their messages for the first 5 minutes of the game as we have conceded a goal in the previous three games during that time

I don't mind the flares but then I'm nowhere near them . Not sure I'd be too happy choking on the smoke or being too close to it .

As for the banners , they need a new editor .

Are they actually flares or smoke bombs. Very different items.
