Anyone not want Potter? He's surely a much better bet than Cooper who has only proven he can get out of the champ and keep them up once - much like most managers we've had. Potter will play youth and has shown he can take an average team to the top of the Prem. The nonsense at Chelsea never gave him a chance imo. I couldn't care less that Potter used to manage Br*ghton. Of course the risk is he does badly and idiots point at the Br*ghton connection. But he's much more likely to do well, isn't he?
You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue |

I’d have Potter over Cooper the Brighton connection is nowhere near Mullerys and yes he works well with the youngsters and was on a hiding to nothing at Chelsea so get him now Parish!!

Not a great fan but I am certain he would make a better fist of things as they currently are. He has more imagination than to park the bus seemingy now at every match. He would take a couple of weeks to do his assessment of what he has available and we should then start to show an improvement. Hopefully he would recognise that Ahamada and Franca have talent and would be a good fit with Eze and finally abandon Mateta and Edouard as old fashioned, chase anything No.9's If not Potter then anyone else with a free mind could do the same for us.

In answer to the OP, NO, i don't. According to various media outlets i've seen, He doesn't want the job.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Not many other jobs where your CV can read: Sacked, sacked, left by mutual consent, sacked... and you still walk into a job and reside permanently on hiring wish lists.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

He is a smug, cocky, overrated failure, with a awful blueprint of playing football, lots of possession, minimal shots, in short NO
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

If Potter came into Selhurst and performed a miracle....it would p1.ss-off the Seaweed no end. remember Muzza, nobody hated him when he was scoring goals, regardless of the shirt. of course it is high risk. If Potter joins us and makes a balls of it...... i want Mick McCarthy at Selhurst. A long CV of success including at international level. Edited by PalazioVecchio (23 Jan 2024 9.34am)

Took Ostersunds in Sweden from the 4th tier to 5th in their top division from 2011-2018. Got recognised and got an effective job promotion and step up to manage Swansea. Did well enough there to get the Brighton job and progressed them from relegation candidates to top half of the Prem. Impressed Chelsea enough for them to sack Thomas Tuchel and poach him. As far as his CV goes it's been on an clear upward trajectory which has been almost the polar opposite of 'failure'. As far as I'm aware, the only sacking was at Chelsea, and if we're honest, that club has been a total car crash for years. His record there although bad, is almost on par with Poch who has been given funds to completely rebuild the squad. He's young, has an excellent CV and to me is the stand out contender. However, we're possibly a bit beneath him and I can see him holding out for a bigger job - Newcastle/Villa type.

I played for an American Football which we started at uni - we were dire! We lost every game in the 3 years I was there and after year 3 the committee was talking about the almost unheard of thing of sacking our volunteer, founding HC. Most of us were very much like "yes. He's an idiot, he has to go." but a few said, "But who else could we get to do it?" I pointed out a dog with a whistle around his neck could probably coach the team to lose every game too, so think we'll probably be no worse off. The point of my story? Right now I'd literally almost take anyone. Despite a promising start to the season, I *think* we've got maybe 10 points in the last FOUR months of football?! That is absolutely incredible.... so right now what's clear is the team isn't good enough, but equally Roy clearly has no ability to polish this turd so let's give someone else a go! I really can't see how it could be any worse than the situation we have currently especially when we all know he's leaving at (God, we hope) the end of the season anyway! So would I take Potter, absolutely in a heartbeat.
