Thursday night under the lights, had a unexpected, but great result Sat v Citeh. What are peoples thoughts on this one, will Roy 'bow to fans pressure' & start the likes of Franca, Ozoh, Ahamada etc, OR, will he revert to type, same old, same old? Here is the EPL Injury Table currently . . . [Link]
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

It will all depend on injuries. Eze might start as might Ozoh, depends on the fitness Lerma. Franca will on the bench still, as will Ahamada. We would need some luck again if the it's same plan as yesterday. Brighton were known (under Potter) as a team that played nice football but struggled to finish. That has changed under De Zerbi. We give them enough chances they could be out of sight before we show any intent (normally in the 2nd half).

I have more hope for Ozoh starting before Franca does but if both Lerma and Hughes are fit I will be surprised if he starts on Thursday. As for Ahamada, he hasn't done enough in his previous performances to warrant a start IMO. As for Ola-Adebomi, he's not going to replace Mateta after the latter's performance yesterday.

Well, for me that cameo yesterday convinced me that França hopefully has a great future here, so I hope he starts. He very nearly scored when he got a few minutes v Spurs too. I say throw him in the mix, his unpredictability is just what we need. However, I know Roy is very unlikely to actually start him, but let's hope he gives him 30 minutes maybe...

Henderson That's what I believe Roy will start with. DB, I do agree with you, I was just questioning NELLIO's assertion that the majority of the fan base wouldn't want Franca to start. Subs: Mathews, Tomkins, Franca, Ebiowei, Ola-Adebomi, Ozoh, Riedewald, Eze, Ahamada.

Makes no difference to Roy that Hughes is rubbish, so slow etc.. - and that Ozoh by the better option..!! Will just stick to his proven “experienced mediocrity” come hell or high water..!!
